00:15If found guilty of the majority of charges, Manchester City would likely face severe punishment.

00:20This could be a substantial points deduction that could see them relegated from the Premier League,

00:25or, perhaps in the worst case scenario, they would be expelled from the league entirely.

00:29Over the last decade and a half, Manchester City have won practically every trophy on offer to them in both domestic and European club football,

00:37but that could all set to be tarnished if the verdict goes against them.

00:40Whilst retrospective punishment is unlikely, many of their triumphs would be viewed differently, and other clubs could also seek compensation.

00:48It will be a trial that will shape the footballing landscape in this country for years to come, but it will not be made public until the verdict.

00:55Until then, Manchester City supporters will face a nervous wait as to the outcome.
