00:00It's possible that the Tropical Storm Bibingka will enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility tonight.

00:06But how long will it last in the country and what will be the effect of it?

00:11Let's find out in the story of Rod Lagusan.

00:15The public is being careful in anticipating the rain because of the unusual wind

00:21that is being watched by the typhoon outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, or PAR,

00:25which has an international name, Bibingka.

00:28This will be the third time that the storm has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility, or PAR.

00:31It is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility this afternoon or tonight

00:34and will leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility this evening or tomorrow morning.

00:38Even if it is only a short time in the Philippine Area of Responsibility and far from the mainland,

00:41it is expected that because of the strong wind, it will continue to have heavy to intense rain.

00:46Mimaropa, Western Visayas, Sorsogon, Masbate, and Negros Occidental are affected from today until tomorrow afternoon.

00:55The same intensity of the rain will be experienced from tomorrow until Monday in several places in the western section of the country.

01:01According to the forecast, the storm weakened as a tropical storm,

01:04but it is possible that it will rise again as a severe tropical storm or typhoon in the East China Sea.

01:10Based on the statistics, if there are storms that are passing by,

01:15even if not only falling, but in the northern part of our country, Luzon,

01:23we are hoping that the storm will intensify.

01:28Because of this, the public was alerted to the possible flood or landslide that it will cause.

01:34In addition to the hope that the storm will leave the port,

01:37it is being watched for the possible formation of a low pressure area in the east of Luzon that may be affected by the rain.

01:44Although it will not be enhanced, it will sustain the intensity of the storm here in Southern Luzon,

01:52Visayas, and Mindanao.

01:54If this happens, even if it is light to moderate and only thunderstorms,

01:59thinking that we are expecting 3 to 4 days of rain within the area, it will last up to 2 days.

02:08Meanwhile, because Negros Occidental is also affected by the rain,

02:13Visayas also issued a Special Weather Advisory to the Regional Services Division.

02:18Next, there is a continuous storm of Mt. Canlaon.

02:22If the rain is strong, it is possible to trigger lahar flows

02:29if there are volcanic materials deposits in the crater.
