00:07Sofia Tronos, the PIA SOC Surgeon, was at the center of the news.

00:13Their program is good.

00:15I got good information.

00:19I feel like I'm going to get a loan.

00:23Libertad Bernalte of Coronadal City, South Cotabato,

00:28will avail a pension loan program from the Social Security System, or SSS.

00:33This is after they went through the SSS Pensioners' Day.

00:38This program will give the pensioners a chance

00:42to get financial assistance more easily.

00:46We give assistance to retired pensioners

00:53with a low-interest loan.

00:57It's only 10% interest per annum.

01:01It will be deducted from their monthly pension.

01:06So, we only give a small amount of interest.

01:11The SSS assures that an average of 50%

01:16will be left with their monthly pension.

01:20It won't be deducted from their monthly pension.

01:25Under the pension loan program,

01:27qualified pensioners can borrow up to Php 200,000

01:32for their needs.

01:34From January to June 2024,

01:3794,441 pension loans were approved by the SSS South Mindanao II Division,

01:44or a total of Php 4.34 million.
