00:00public satisfaction in the NHS has fallen from an all-time high when the
00:07last Labour government left office to an all-time low today and that's because as
00:13everybody in the country knows the last government broke the NHS. Until this
00:20morning we didn't know the full scale of the damage which is laid bare in the
00:25report. Even Lord Darzi with all his years of experience is shocked by what
00:31is discovered. A Labour government will always make the investment in our NHS
00:37that is needed, always. But we have to fix the plumbing before turning on the taps.
00:43So hear me when I say this, no more money without reform. I'm not prepared to see
00:54even more of your money spent on agency staff who cost five thousand pounds a
01:00shift, on appointment letters which arrive after the appointment, or on paying
01:07for people to be stuck in hospital just because they can't get the care they
01:12need in the community. And tonight there'll be 12,000 patients in that very
01:16position. That's enough to fill 28 hospitals. So we can't go on like this.
