17:45I'm gobsmacked by that, but I'm even prouder to be here for that reason.

18:42Steve is my predecessor as mayor.

18:45Tomorrow, he's starting on a journey all around Cornwall to raise money for the air ambulance.

18:53So, Steve is a good guy.

18:55Anything you can do to support him or spread the word.

18:58It's called the Cornwall 500.

19:49OK. Today, this is a way of life.

19:51Just a quick one.

19:53Thirty-three years ago, I was lying in the hospital bed,

19:56and a guy turned up next to me, and he'd been in a wheelchair 15 years.

20:01And at that point, I thought, I could never do that.

20:05Thirty-three years later, I'm about to embark on a journey that I never thought I would make.

20:11500 miles, celebrating life in this wheelchair.

20:15One that was donated to me four years ago by friends of mine.

20:21And I can't think of a better way to celebrate friends coming together, like today,

20:26to give me something to give my group back.

20:29The Cornwall Air Ambulance has just had its busiest month on record.

20:34Ninety-nine call-outs, more than three a day.

20:38And without people donating, it's not them that saves lives, it's you guys that saves lives.

20:44It's the donators.

20:46Without people putting their hand in their pocket, they would not be able to save anybody.

20:50They wouldn't be able to give life to people like me now.

20:53So I will be going all the way around Cornwall, celebrating what they do,

20:58celebrating living life just like we are today, the way we want to do it, independently the way I do it.

21:05So just go to the Cornwall 500 on any social media, apart from X, maybe.

21:16And just live life, enjoy it, enjoy the day, the sun's out, let's all have a good time.

21:27A recognition act, the way that they wish to, and the way that they have formed to.

21:32But also because there is something called, conversion therapy is still legal.

21:37So I applaud you that if you're able to, write to your local MPs.

21:42We have an incredible group of new six MPs, they will absolutely listen.

21:46They are going through massive community consultations and conversations.

21:50So please write to them, share your thoughts, so we can make the change and live the change.

21:57There are more than 70 countries in the globe that it's illegal to be LGBTQ+.

22:0211 of them are criminalised by death.

22:05So not only are we standing in solidarity, please take a moment to anyone that's faced discrimination,

22:13and is currently in jail or have lost their lives, to being who they want to be.

22:19Before we get Leila so we can rev ourselves up.

22:21So when I go, love who you want to love, you're going to shine it back.
