00:00On Monday evening, the President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, showed his respect for the

00:05decision of former far-right candidate Mundo González of departing Venezuela.

00:10Likewise, the head of state reaffirmed his call to dialogue with multiple opposition

00:14sectors in the country.

00:16On the transmission of his program ConMaduroMás, the Venezuelan leader condemned the actions

00:21of the local far-right wing, pointing out that from the onset they did not play fair

00:27as they did not respect the constitutional laws of the country.

00:31In this regard, the Venezuelan President assured that, unlike the far-right wing, the revolution

00:36has always played fair in the search for consolidating peace, and it has won.

00:41Therefore, the country applauds the departure of the former presidential candidate and Mundo

00:45González Urrutia.

00:46Furthermore, the President asserted that Venezuela is bigger than any person who intends to hand

00:52over the country to imperialism.

00:58The Member States of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of America, People's Trade

01:03Treaty, ALBA-TCP, supported Venezuela's position in response to the request for political

01:08asylum submitted by ex-candidate Edmundo González to Kingdom of Spain, which was granted on

01:14September 7.

01:16In an official communiqué issued on Monday, the regional bloc applauds this democratic

01:21act in strict compliance with the rules of international law, which is an unequivocal

01:26demonstration of the Venezuelan government's genuine interest in warranting peace and

01:31tranquility to the Venezuelan people.

01:33In another part of the document, the countries of the alliance welcome the fact that the

01:38sister Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela is resolving its internal affairs in accordance

01:43with its own legally stipulated time-lapse laws and institutions.

01:48Finally, the bloc demands that internal and external extremist factors, which aims at

01:54chaos and destabilization, respect the decision of this sovereign and independent country.
