Tyreek Hill receives 2 citations, cop placed on administrative leave

More updates are surfacing, body cam footage led to one of the cops being placed on administrative leave. Tyreek Hill received 2 citations... one being for not wearing a seatbelt.

00:15detention of Miami Dolphins player Tyreek Hill led to Miami

00:17to a police department director, Stephanie Daniels, to temporarily transfer

00:21one of the officers to administrative duty, she said Monday morning

00:24in a brief interview, Daniel said that she had seen a portion of the body

00:28cam footage from the officers involved in the pregame incident on Sunday

00:31when he was handcuffed and placed on the curb during a traffic stop

00:34on his way to Hard Rock Stadium.

00:35Quote, I've seen some of it, Daniel said of the footage.

00:38That is why one of the officers is placed on administrative duties.

00:42Daniels is an appointee of Miami Dade Mayor Daniela Levine.

00:45Cava has not said in public statements

00:49if there was misconduct in the detention of Hill and press statements.

00:52Hill called his detention unjustified and speculated

00:56that what would have happened to him if he wasn't a celebrity in that situation.

01:04to release the body cam footage, citing an ongoing investigation in the incident.

01:10from the Miami Dade police on Sunday.

01:28Jeff Darlington reported last hour, Tyreeco received two citations

01:32as a result of his traffic stop, careless driving and a seat belt violation.

04:34that it remains an internal investigation,

04:36so they cannot provide details.

04:39Or why he was detained face down on the ground in handcuffs.

04:44One of the officers on the scene remains on administrative duty.

04:47What does that mean today?

06:44I know a bunch of people that got their face busted up for

06:47no reason because they had their hands behind their back

06:49and the guy clipped them and they went face first on the

06:52pavement.

06:53So what if something like that would have happened?

07:42about it and I would say hey when you in a situation like

07:46that, it's your job to get out of it.

08:18This is what I said before the game before the Dolphins game

08:21yesterday and it occurred where Tyreek Hill was placed in

08:23handcuffs.

08:24He wasn't placed in handcuffs.

08:26Let me finish the statement before being released first to

08:29be clear at no time.

08:30Was he ever under arrest?

08:31He was briefly detained for officer safety after driving in

08:35a manner in which he was putting himself and others at great

08:38risk of danger upon being stopped.

08:41Hill was not immediately cooperative with the officers on

08:44the scene who pursuant to policy for their immediate safety

08:49placed.

08:50Hill in handcuffs.

08:52Hill still uncooperative refused to sit on the ground and was

08:54therefore redirected to the ground.

08:58One situation was sorted out within a few minutes.

09:00Hill was issued to traffic citations and was free to leave.

09:09I would like to know.

09:12What did he do that was so egregious that a guy had to karate

09:16kid him and take him to the ground.

09:18We would like to stress to the community to use this as an

09:21opportunity to remember that is always best to obey lawful

09:24police commands first and complain later.

09:26We have worked hard across the communities to bridge the gap

09:29between what people believe is law enforcement should and can

09:32do and will continue to do so in this case while we wait for

09:36the investigation to run its course based on what we know we

09:39stand with the actions of our officers but look forward to

09:41further open communication moving forward while we are

09:44confident in the actions that led to stop Mr.

09:47Hill as with any investigation.

09:49We'll wait for the facts to come out along with an explanation.
