00:00now i'm old enough to remember when the original ghostbusters movie came out and it was just

00:05amazing nothing like it of his kind at that time i was instantly a huge fan so much that i bought

00:12the ghostbusters game for the commodore 64 and spent many hours on it so i was really excited

00:19to learn that ghostbusters rise of the ghost lord was coming to the quest my first impressions were

00:26meh nothing really grabbed me or excited me as you play through the beginning which is just you

00:32getting used to the buttons and the controls really but i slowly began warming up to the

00:36game as i progressed the game menus are easy and nicely laid out on different consoles in

00:42your headquarters and the controls are simple enough and get explained to you as you play

00:47through the beginning intro you get to see your progress of the game on one of these consoles

00:52i had played about two and a half hours up to the point of recording this video there is also a

00:58giant map of the city on a desk which i really wish they had put more detail into instead of

01:04just blank boxes sitting there there's also a station where you can view your unlocked ghosts

01:10this i think is a nice touch but i think a ghost capture count would have been a nice feature to

01:17have here as well there is also a station where you can upgrade your photon pack trap and pke meter

01:23though i didn't see much of any differences every time i upgraded my gear a simple different color

01:29of streams on your photon gun would have made some sort of visual difference the weapons are as you

01:34expect a photon pack gun and a trap that's all you need in this game though so i'm really glad

01:40they didn't get carried away with stupid weapons it would have also been nice to drive the ecto

01:45one car but it does look really good parked up in the headquarters there are six playable

01:52characters to choose from three male and three female very colorful and modern looking but i feel

01:58it would have been better to have the four main characters from the movie and then maybe one extra

02:04character that you could fully customize but as you progress through the game you can unlock

02:09different skins for each of these characters but it's nothing outstanding the ghosts look

02:15really good i can't decide if it's good to have lots of varied ghosts flying around at the same

02:21time or if i would prefer just one or two slimer ghosts that are difficult to catch so that you

02:27would really have to work together as a team to catch them but still there are small cute

02:32little marshmallow men to then big badass looking ghosts level sizes are decent and there's enough

02:39of them to keep you amused i wish they'd add a run button though unless i just can't find it

02:44also as i played the game i must have opened up at least 50 lockers and drawers and there was not

02:50one single item in them what's the point of having stuff you can open if there's nothing to collect

02:58or find i also really do not like the surfaces are not solid my hands would just sink through

03:04desks and into the car i'm not a fan of games like that i would like to feel a car when i touch it

03:10not put my hands through it and other surfaces that i touch now i'm 40 percent into the game

03:16and as far as i can see there are three game modes mode one is where you are on a time limit

03:22to get rid of all the ghosts in three separate locations mode two is where you have to collect

03:30parts and fix a machine then have to fill up large canisters of ecoplasm and that's made by throwing

03:37ghosts into the machine rather than into your own trap mode three is searching for three items

03:44around the map to bring back to a location and then having to fight off big bosses now i find

03:51all three modes of gameplay to be quite fun but i also think that they need something just a little

03:57bit extra to make them more interesting if there's a story then it hasn't grabbed my attention

04:02occasionally i hear a man complaining about something or a woman talking to me on one of

04:08the tvs back at hq but i'm now 40 into this game so far and i honestly could not tell you what the

04:15story is now i believe multiplayer will be fun if you are playing with a bunch of your friends

04:22but on this occasion i played with three random dudes one that sounded like he was about five or

04:29six years old and one i had to mute because when i talked i could hear myself back loudly from him

04:35two seconds later my bad internet is partly to blame for this though i only played one game in

04:40multiplayer because it was taking too long for other players to do what they needed to do and

04:45then start an actual game but i'm sure with a bunch of my friends we would have a great laugh

04:51playing along to this i actually enjoy playing through the game on solo offline when you have

04:57to face ghosts you get help from another ghost that is acting as another player for your team

05:02which is just as well because when you die you need to high-five someone to bring you back to

05:08life i don't think this game has a long life it gets pretty repetitive it needs more games i believe

05:15it definitely needs more stuff to interact within the game not just pointless books fire extinguishers

05:21and cans is it worth buying the extra dlc pack i'd say no it isn't not unless you really want

05:28a bunch of skins and pointless stuff that don't really improve the gameplay then so anyway i score
