00:00Of course, how is the experience? It's been a successful second Super Manila for you, so how is the experience with so many people coming to your second event?
00:09So this is our third Super Manila Comic Con. It's been a great experience for both con goers and the organizers.
00:19There's always a lot of surprises that happen at events like this and there's certainly, there was no shortage of surprises at this event.
00:28From the massive turnout of people to all the great announcements that we had at our convention, it's just been hit after hit after hit at this event.
00:42And of course, one of the highlights was the announcement of the new Marvel artists from Filipino artists, so can you tell us more about those new Filipino artists?
00:53So this year, CB Cebulski announced that they had selected three new artists to join the ranks of Marvel.
01:04We couldn't be more excited for them. You might know, they were actually at the portfolio review last year.
01:14And it's just a great testament to the success of Super Manila that we're able to help give birth to these next generations of Marvel artists.
01:25And the Transformers comic cover that was sold out?
01:29Sold out after two days, so hopefully everyone was able to get a copy. It was a massive hit artwork by Vaughn Randall, colors by Elmer Santos and Rex Espino.
01:42So of course, now you've seen how Super Manila has evolved for the past three conventions already, what people are going to expect next year?
01:52Of course, it's always varied, but it's more on the western side. But of course, they're not left out in anime, manga and all.
02:02So what are you going to expect in 2025? Are we going to expect more varied guests next year?
02:09As you might have noticed from this event, we try to keep a good mix of everything, a little bit of everything.
02:17So there's a little bit of anime, there's a little bit of gaming, a little bit of comics, action figures, collectibles, Lego, you name it.
02:27Our goal is to be like a San Diego Comic Con type event, an international Comic Con event based in Manila.
02:37What's great is it's a homegrown convention created by Filipino organizers featuring many Filipino artists and we're bringing many international creators to the country.
02:52So that's really been our goal and our objective moving forward, to make it an international con based in the Philippines.
03:06And something we want to be really proud of, we want people from the region to come over and attend.
03:12In fact, we were seeing a lot of it already. We had attendees from various countries, Singapore in particular, we got guests from Singapore.
03:28And I also noticed that it doesn't have cosplay competition, but we've seen so many cosplayers.
03:34So next year, are you considering going to have a cosplay competition?
03:38Yes, of course. We'll see how we can do it, but that is part of our goal for the next con or the one after that.
03:50My last question would be, your thanks to everyone who attended.
03:56It was so many people, so many people came for the past two days that the entire space at One Mayala was jam-packed.
04:07Lines are always a little bit hard to predict, especially when you do an event like this.
04:15So of course, you can't help it sometimes, there are long lines.
04:22It's part of the Comic Con experience, whether you go to a small convention or a San Diego Comic Con, there's always going to be some lines.
04:31Hopefully, we were able to find ways to make it bearable and people were able to enjoy the convention.
04:41But we hope it'll always be something well-attended in the years to come.
