00:00The Labor Department assured that wage hikes in other areas could be implemented

00:06under the direction of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.

00:10In the Malacanang Insider program, Labor Secretary Bienvenido Lagresma said

00:15that it is expected that a consultation will be held this month

00:19with the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board, Calabarzon,

00:24to implement the increase in wages in the region.

00:27While RTWPBS has already filed cases in Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon,

00:32Central Visayas, and Sok Sarje last month,

00:35consultations were held with other regional tripartite boards in Ilocos Region,

00:42Western Visayas, and Zamboanga Peninsula.

00:45In October, consultations were held with Cordillera Administrative Region,

00:50Mimaropa Bicol Region, and Eastern Visayas.

00:53Last July, RTWPB National Capital Region approved

00:57the 35 pesos increase in the daily minimum wage of workers

01:02as a reason to increase it to 645 pesos per day.

01:09In other words, all regional tripartite wages and productivity boards

01:14within this year will have the right action

01:18in adjusting the minimum wage level in their respective regions.
