00:00As far as fishing games go, I think real VR fishing is pretty unbeatable. The look of

00:19this game, the realism is just incredible. Let me tell you, the thrill of catching your

00:26shark just wow. I didn't grow up with a father, I was told he died when I was 6 months old.

00:32So when I was around 6 or 7 years old, my friends father took us both out fishing on a small boat

00:39and it was a disaster, I hated it. So fishing was out of my mind from that day on.

00:45So when I saw this in the store a few years ago, I decided to give it a try, and boy let me tell

00:52you, and please excuse the pun, but I was hooked. I'd spend hours in this game at a time,

00:59visiting all the different locations, just marvelling over the sights. I started out on

01:04easy setting, where you could see the fish under the water using a pair of magic glasses,

01:10but after a couple of hours, I soon stepped up and turned that setting off, and then I was on

01:16expert level. To help you, your fishing line will turn different colours, green, red and blue,

01:22which is a very useful feature. I'll let you discover what each colour means.

01:26Now one of the main features that kept me coming back to this game at the time,

01:31was catching different species of fish to put in your home aquarium, and being able to buy

01:37different ornaments to put in that aquarium. Then also being able to unlock the different

01:43and having a huge aquarium, where you could actually keep sharks. The progression system

01:50is just brilliant. When you catch a fish, you have the option to release it, which then gives you

01:56experience points, and these points will level you up, and as you level up, you unlock more locations

02:04and bigger fish, or you can keep that fish and earn money, which buys you better rods, reels,

02:12baits and decorations for your home aquarium. I do wish that they would add more items you can

02:18buy to decorate the aquariums, as currently there's very little choice. Also another cool

02:24buying feature was boats. You can buy boats which you stand on when fishing in some locations,

02:31like a kayak to a rowing boat, a speedboat, a yacht and even a submarine. The game itself has

02:39many locations in Korea to keep you satisfied, but then it also has DLC packs to purchase,

02:47which offers American locations and Japanese locations. So I think a downfall in this game

02:55is that you cannot move around locations. Like it would be nice to be able to move along the beach

03:01and pick another spot to fish from, or when you're out on the boat, you can only fish facing forward.

03:07Again, it would have been nice to be able to move to the side of the boat, or the back of the boat.

03:12Now the developers of this game are very active, so who knows what the future holds. Movement is

03:18a choice between free locomotion, or you can teleport, but to be honest, you won't be doing

03:24much moving, except from when you're at your lodge going through menus. This game also offers

03:30multiplayer options, so you can fish with other people should you wish to, though each location

03:37not only looks fantastic, but the audio is also on point. It's so relaxing to just sit there in

03:43peace in your surroundings, so you may just want to sit alone with your own thoughts. I'm sure

03:50there are many things in this game that can be improved, but for someone who had no interest

03:55in fishing, and wasn't expecting much from this game, I was for sure taken back and surprised.

04:02It was released September 2019, and it still holds very strong today. So on that note, I score
