00:00Aside from the flood, the supply of electricity is also a problem for the residents of Baco, Orcavite.

00:12Susan, the rain has just started here in Barangay Aniban 1 in Baco, Orcavite.
00:17But the flood is still not stopping.
00:19According to some of the residents we talked to,
00:22the biggest problem for them is that there is still no electricity until now.
00:26It's dark, it's raining, and it's still flooding.
00:31That's what happened to us early this morning in Barangay Aniban 1 in Baco, Orcavite.
00:36The residents have been waiting for more than a day for the permission of heavy rain and flooding to their homes.
00:44What we really need here is electricity.
00:47That's what we're requesting.
00:50We've been calling for a long time.
00:53Janeline, her mother, was already affected by the flood with her children
00:57so that they can go to other barangays while there is still no electricity in their homes.
01:01Of course, it's really affected.
01:03It's hard when there's no electricity.
01:05That's the first thing that people need.
01:07We just walked around.
01:09We have no choice.
01:10We'll just get electricity.
01:13Aside from the electricity, they say their livelihoods are also affected by the rain and flood.
01:19It's hard to swim because there are no pedestrians.
01:22The water is very deep.
01:24We can't cross the river.
01:27The water level here is so high that our children are stuck in the sidecars.
01:32It's hard to sell.
01:33It's hard to sell in the market.
01:40Some of the residents that we've talked to are really suffering from the flood
01:44so that they can go back to their jobs.
01:48Some of them are really moving to other barangays
01:50so that they can use the electricity for their families.
