00:00:00I think I need to pray while y'all receive an offering.
00:00:04Father, I thank you for this, another opportunity to minister
00:00:07to these, your precious sheep.
00:00:10Thank you, Lord, that revelation knowledge will flow freely,
00:00:15uninterrupted and unhindered by any satanic or demonic force.
00:00:20Father, speak through my vocal cords.
00:00:23Think through my mind.
00:00:24Think through my mind.
00:00:27Speak through me and all of you.
00:00:31And Father, I pray you will not only anoint me to be able to
00:00:35articulate correctly what's in your heart and what you placed
00:00:39in mine, but I pray that you will anoint those who will hear
00:00:42it, wherever they are, they are anointed to hear.
00:00:47It's in Jesus' name we all agree.
00:00:49Say amen.
00:00:50Amen.
00:00:51If you have your Bibles, go with me to the book of Romans
00:00:56chapter 8 and verse 32.
00:00:58I'm gonna read it out of the Amplified, Romans 8, verse 32.
00:01:02I'm gonna read it out of the Amplified and the
00:01:04Mirror Translation.
00:01:06Today, we're gonna do part two of the one and only faith, the
00:01:13one true and only faith.
00:01:15I mean, it's something that has really come to my mind.
00:01:20Last night, I was looking over this teaching and I had to get
00:01:24a little bit of a walk away from it because I had a lot of
00:01:26questions coming in my mind based on things that I've
00:01:29already understood, so I want you to listen to this very
00:01:31carefully here this morning.
00:01:33Let's set up how we're gonna tackle this today because
00:01:38basically, I'm gonna deal with the having the faith of God
00:01:45versus having faith in God.
00:01:47Somebody said, why the big deal there?
00:01:50Having faith in God has always been assumed to that the fact
00:01:56that if I have faith in God, I've got to do that in order to
00:02:01receive what God says I'm supposed to have versus having
00:02:05the faith of God, it's like a gift.
00:02:07God has gifted me with this.
00:02:10So, these Scriptures are gonna set the foundation to kind of
00:02:13help you out.
00:02:13Hopefully, today is gonna deliver you from this attitude
00:02:17of what I have to do in order to get what God wants me to have
00:02:22freely, what I have to do in order to receive a gift that
00:02:28you're not supposed to do anything to receive a gift.
00:02:31I mean, if you had to do something to get a gift,
00:02:34then it just wouldn't be a gift, would it?
00:02:36Because you had to do something to earn it.
00:02:39But, I mean, you listen to it.
00:02:41Most of the body of Christ has been trained in this is what we
00:02:44have to do to get the gift.
00:02:47Huh?
00:02:48It's not a gift.
00:02:49It's not a gift.
00:02:51And if this is what we have to do to earn that privilege,
00:02:55then it wouldn't be a gift.
00:02:57And the Bible says we have undeserved privilege.
00:03:02So, we have privilege, but it's not because we deserve it.
00:03:05We have privilege that's undeserved.
00:03:07So, let's get into this, and this is gonna be amazing.
00:03:11And I pray that your, the pores of your understanding will open
00:03:15up, and you can see this, and you can be free
00:03:19to accept the gift.
00:03:21Amen.
00:03:22All right, verse 32, Romans 8.
00:03:26I'm reading out of the Amplified.
00:03:28He says, "'He who did not withhold or spare even his own
00:03:31son, but gave him up for us all,' he gave Jesus up for us all.
00:03:41"'Will he not also along with him, along with--"'
00:03:47So, he gave up Jesus for us all.
00:03:49So, he gave up Jesus for the whole world.
00:03:53Now, the whole world, it'd be cool if they, if everybody just
00:03:57accepted him, if everybody accepted the gift, all right?
00:04:02So, he gave up Jesus for the whole world, and this is the
00:04:06part that got me.
00:04:08"'Will he not also with giving up Jesus, freely and graciously
00:04:15give us all other things?' That's strong.
00:04:19He says, "'I gave you Jesus, and because I gave you Jesus,
00:04:24I am gonna freely and graciously give you all other things.
00:04:31I gave you Jesus, so I'm gonna freely,' which means he is
00:04:35saying, "'I gave you Jesus, big gift.
00:04:39I'm gonna give you more gifts.
00:04:42Along with Jesus, more gifts.
00:04:47Along with Jesus, more things that you're gonna receive, not
00:04:52because you deserve it.
00:04:55You didn't deserve Jesus.
00:04:56I gave you the most expensive thing heaven had to offer.
00:04:59I gave you Jesus, and don't you know, don't you understand that
00:05:04when I give you Jesus, I will also freely and graciously give
00:05:08you all other things.'"
00:05:11Oh, I could just go home right now.
00:05:15I'm trying to talk to you about all of the other things.
00:05:21Somehow or another, we've accepted Jesus, and then when we
00:05:24accepted Jesus, we put a lot of rules around it and said,
00:05:27"'Now that you're saved, now you gotta do this if you want
00:05:30God to do that.
00:05:32You know what?
00:05:33If you wanna be forgiven, you gotta forgive others,
00:05:36because if you don't forgive, then God won't forgive you.'"
00:05:38That says that in the New Testament, in the Gospels of
00:05:44Luke and John, it says that, but that was before
00:05:48Jesus was accepted.
00:05:51Now that Jesus has been accepted, God says,
00:05:54"'You know what?
00:05:55I'm gonna give you forgiveness for free.'"
00:05:58Now, it's good to forgive other people, because when you don't
00:06:04forgive other people, then you're walking around
00:06:06with a poisoned heart.
00:06:07It's good to forgive other people, but it's not forgiving
00:06:12other people that puts you in a position to earn forgiveness
00:06:17from God, mm-mm, and that's where we miss it.
00:06:21We've taken Scripture out of context.
00:06:23We didn't put it in the right place.
00:06:26We took it out, we preached it, and this is how people feel.
00:06:29I preach a message, all right, if you don't forgive your
00:06:32brother, then God ain't gonna forgive you.
00:06:35And then you walk away, and you think,
00:06:37"'Gosh, this guy, this guy did so much to me, and I'm working
00:06:41on it, and I'm trying,' and now you're beating yourself up
00:06:45because you forgave him, you thought you forgave him,
00:06:48and now you're working and sweating and trying to do this,
00:06:51and you go to the Thanksgiving, and he's there, and you tried,
00:06:55and you looked at him and said,
00:06:56"'I love you, blankety, blank, blank,' and you just kinda,
00:06:59and it's like, oh, God's not gonna forgive me.
00:07:01God's not gonna forgive me,' and then they'll go on to say,
00:07:03"'Now, if you die with that unforgiveness,
00:07:05you're going to hell.'"
00:07:06That's just not the truth because the whole point is I've
00:07:10given you the gift of Jesus, and when you accept Jesus,
00:07:14don't you know I'm gonna freely and graciously give you
00:07:17everything else?
00:07:19That freaks you out because most of us have heard what I said.
00:07:25If you don't forgive somebody else,
00:07:27then God won't forgive you.
00:07:28Is it good to think of other people?
00:07:29Yes, but do you have to do that in order to earn God's
00:07:36forgiveness?
00:07:38No, God, when he gave you Jesus, decided I'm gonna gift you
00:07:43everything that you couldn't do.
00:07:45You having to forgive in order to get forgiveness was an
00:07:48New Testament law-based situation,
00:07:54but now that you're under this New Testament and Jesus has been
00:07:57given unto you, glory to God, he will freely and graciously give
00:08:01us all other things, and he's not only forgiven you,
00:08:08he forgave you before you did what was necessary to get
00:08:11forgiveness.
00:08:12Forgiveness is finished.
00:08:13Forgiveness is completed.
00:08:15Forgiveness is done.
00:08:17It cannot be undone, and you can't get no more forgiven than
00:08:20you already are.
00:08:28Wow.
00:08:34Read that in the mirror if you have it.
00:08:37If not, don't worry about it.
00:08:42Got it?
00:08:45I need to go get my phone, because I have it on my phone.
00:08:49You have it?
00:08:52And I'll run back there and get my phone and stuff.
00:08:57See, I asked y'all.
00:08:58If y'all had it, y'all didn't have it back there.
00:09:00You should've told me you didn't have it back there.
00:09:02Praise the Lord.
00:09:06Okay.
00:09:08He says in mirror translation, the gift of his Son is the
00:09:12irrefutable evidence of God's heart towards us.
00:09:17He held nothing in reserve, but freely and undeservedly gave
00:09:23everything we could ever wish to have.
00:09:28This is what our joint Sonship is all about.
00:09:34Everything that we wish to have already done,
00:09:41already given.
00:09:43Now, let's look at this next Scripture.
00:09:48Galatians chapter 2, verse 20, in the King James.
00:09:52Galatians chapter 2, verse 20, in the King James.
00:09:58All right.
00:09:59I am crucified with Christ.
00:10:04Nevertheless, this is Paul talking.
00:10:06I'm crucified with Christ, so when Christ was crucified,
00:10:08I was crucified.
00:10:12Nevertheless, I live, yet not I, but Christ liveth where?
00:10:18Say out loud, Christ lives in me.
00:10:21All right, so he presented himself to the whole world,
00:10:24and if you've accepted him, he lives in you, all right?
00:10:29And the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith
00:10:35of the Son of God, so I live by his faith.
00:10:44I live by the faith of the Son of God, so you can never say,
00:10:48my faith, without knowing that your faith is his faith.
00:10:53You can't go around talking about, well, my faith this,
00:10:55and my faith that, because my faith, or your faith,
00:10:58our faith, is his faith.
00:11:02It ain't no, Jesus got his faith, and then all of us got
00:11:05our faith, because you see the problem with that,
00:11:08when you understand that you live by his faith,
00:11:11his faith is complete, done, perfect, awesome.
00:11:16And so, he gave you his faith, so our faith, let me show you
00:11:20how it really goes.
00:11:21He took his faith and embodied it in Jesus, then he gave us
00:11:27Jesus, glory to God, and so now, Jesus now, he says,
00:11:33we live by the faith of the Son of God, so now we take the Son
00:11:38of God's faith, and now my faith is just a reflection
00:11:42of Jesus' faith, just like Jesus' faith is a reflection
00:11:46of God's faith, and God's faith is flawless and perfect
00:11:50and done and completed.
00:11:52So, he took his flawless and perfect and done faith,
00:11:55embodied it in a body called Jesus, then Jesus, if we
00:12:00accepted him, gave his faith to us, and now my faith is not
00:12:04my faith, different from the one faith, but my faith is just
00:12:09his faith, which is God's faith, which God got to me
00:12:12through Jesus, and now the faith I have is flawless,
00:12:16perfect, complete, done, finished.
00:12:20Whoo, glory to God.
00:12:23So, this stuff about, well, this didn't happen because my
00:12:29faith wasn't strong enough, that's why it ain't your faith,
00:12:32because the faith you got is strong enough.
00:12:38The faith you got can move mountains.
00:12:40The faith you got can, you don't have no flawless,
00:12:45messed up faith.
00:12:46Well, the Bible said that Jesus looked at the disciples,
00:12:49and he said, why is it you have no faith?
00:12:53That's because you don't know what the Greek word for
00:12:54have is, it means echo.
00:12:57He said, in the midst of a storm, why we don't hear you
00:13:00echoing faith?
00:13:11World changes, God-doggone ministry, boy.
00:13:13I mean, just the fact that you sit here and listen to this and
00:13:19listen to this, but even above that, that about 90% of you
00:13:23understand what I'm saying.
00:13:28The rest of you are fighting with what you've heard, and I'm
00:13:32trying to grow you from where you have been to the next level
00:13:37of where you are.
00:13:38Do you understand what's going to happen with your life when
00:13:40you never, ever question the strength of the faith you have?
00:13:46Glorabasha, you will never again question the faith you have.
00:13:52You won't say, well, my faith wasn't big enough.
00:13:54I don't know why the sickness came on you, but it wasn't
00:13:56because your faith wasn't big enough.
00:13:58I don't know why you lost a car, but it wasn't because your faith
00:14:02wasn't big enough.
00:14:03It was probably because you didn't realize how big it was.
00:14:08You didn't realize how powerful it was.
00:14:15You just didn't realize how big it was.
00:14:30Have I read the mirror on that one yet?
00:14:34All right, man, listen to this.
00:14:36I'm taking my time today, y'all.
00:14:38You saw it rushed through everything so I can have some
00:14:41It's a good time to do this because next week,
00:14:45the football season starts.
00:14:53Well, ain't he all right?
00:15:03Now, Galatians chapter 2 in the 20, I just want to read this.
00:15:07Y'all got to listen to this, man.
00:15:11So, here I am, dead and alive at the same time.
00:15:17I'm dead to the old me I was trying to be, and now I'm alive
00:15:23to the real me, which Christ in me, which is Christ in me.
00:15:28I'm alive to Christ within me.
00:15:30I come to the realization of Christ in me.
00:15:34I'm co-crucified, now I'm co-alive.
00:15:38I'm a glorious entanglement.
00:15:46I was in him in his death.
00:15:49Now I discover that he is infused in me, in my life.
00:15:54For the first time, I'm free to be me in my skin,
00:16:00immersed in his faith, in our joint sonship.
00:16:06He loves me and believes in me.
00:16:10He is God's gift to me.
00:16:15Say it, Jesus is God's gift to me.
00:16:20And with Jesus, he will freely and graciously
00:16:27give me everything.
00:16:36That's just like you're having a phone and you're still taking
00:16:40notes because you don't realize that your phone will
00:16:43do it for you.
00:16:47You have all this on the inside, and there's some things you need
00:16:49to come to realize, and then once you realize it,
00:16:53then you can receive it.
00:16:54And then once you receive it, then you can rest in it.
00:16:59Hopefully, next week we can start talking
00:17:01about what rest is.
00:17:03Rest is not an absence of inactivity.
00:17:07I mean, it doesn't mean inactivity.
00:17:09Rest is resting while you work.
00:17:13So, get up, go to work.
00:17:14Rest while you're working.
00:17:18It's not resting from work, it's resting in work because you have
00:17:21confidence that the work has already been done.
00:17:26Different types of works, but you understand what I'm saying.
00:17:28Now, last Scripture, and this is where we start today.
00:17:33Galatians chapter 3 and verse 24 through 28.
00:17:38So, I live by the faith of the Son of God.
00:17:41Can you see that clearly?
00:17:42I mean, Paul is saying that very clearly.
00:17:44We live by the faith of the Son of God.
00:17:46And we keep going back to, you know, we have faith in Jesus,
00:17:52and if we have faith in Jesus, then we can be righteous.
00:17:55If we have faith in Jesus, then we can be healed.
00:17:59If we have faith in Jesus, and you keep looking at something to
00:18:02be earned versus having the faith of Jesus, gift.
00:18:08Faith of Jesus, freely and graciously given.
00:18:11You follow what I'm saying?
00:18:12Faith in Jesus.
00:18:15So, if it doesn't happen, you're like,
00:18:16oh, I don't know if I had enough faith in Jesus.
00:18:20But you shift that and understand that the translation
00:18:22from the Greek is of the faith of Jesus.
00:18:28We have this based on the faith of Jesus.
00:18:31It's all him.
00:18:32He is the origin and the source of that righteousness.
00:18:38He's the origin and the source of that justification.
00:18:43So, to take it and turn around to having faith in Jesus,
00:18:45now you're tempted to make yourself and your faith in that,
00:18:51the origin and source, and you are not.
00:18:54You are not.
00:18:56Now, I am just amazed at how this has existed in the earth
00:19:04for at least a hundred years, and it's because nobody,
00:19:13well, not nobody, I'm sure somebody has.
00:19:17Go find out what the original word was.
00:19:21Go find out what the original phrase was.
00:19:24We translated it over into English, and there was no words
00:19:30that were there, or we added words to complete the sentence
00:19:34and gave a whole new idea in the psyche of Christians,
00:19:39and that idea was work to do, work to do, work to do.
00:19:44And so, we never received the gift, received the gift,
00:19:46received the gift.
00:19:48Does everybody understand what I'm saying?
00:19:50It's important to every now and then go back and see what the
00:19:54original language said instead of just your Western idea and
00:20:00your religious idea of what you've always heard.
00:20:03Is that what it really said?
00:20:04See, when you spend time with the Holy Spirit,
00:20:07you'll read a Scripture.
00:20:08I do, I'm just talking about me.
00:20:09When I spend time with the Spirit of God,
00:20:11I'll read a Scripture, and I can tell it's translated wrong
00:20:14because that's not going along with my relationship with God.
00:20:17I'm like, huh?
00:20:19You don't kill him?
00:20:20What does that really mean?
00:20:22Or I get a conviction when it says,
00:20:24go into all the world and preach the gospel and get people saved
00:20:28and stuff like that.
00:20:29That's the Great Commission, and I'm thinking, wow,
00:20:32but I, you know, how do I?
00:20:35And then I go and I look at the translation and realize that is
00:20:37a participle, which he said, in your goings,
00:20:40in your everyday life, in your living,
00:20:42and you're going to work, and you're going to school,
00:20:44and you're going to your tea parties and all of that,
00:20:46and you're going to let life be the epistle to turn people
00:20:49into disciples.
00:20:50Do you follow what I'm saying?
00:20:55So, I'm over this trusting what the commentary wrote,
00:20:59because he might have had his own personal interpretation
00:21:03put into that, and I ain't doing that no more.
00:21:05I ain't doing none of that no more.
00:21:07I'm going to go find out for myself,
00:21:09me and the Holy Ghost, and then I'm going to bring it to you so
00:21:12I can attack your mindset, and you look at me like I'm missing
00:21:16it, because your hero preacher always said it like this,
00:21:20and I'm telling you what it say, but it's hard for you to step
00:21:24away from what you've always known.
00:21:27And then just look at your life.
00:21:33You have questions.
00:21:34Why they ain't happening?
00:21:35Why this ain't happening?
00:21:36What's going on here?
00:21:37But I tried, and I tried, and I cried, and I cried,
00:21:42and I prayed, and I prayed, and I tried all night long,
00:21:46and I cried all night long, and I prayed all night long,
00:21:50until I found the Lord, but you ain't telling the truth.
00:21:52Then nothing happened, then nothing happened,
00:21:54and nothing happened.
00:21:54You ain't received a gift in a long time.
00:21:56You accepted Jesus, and that was it.
00:21:58You don't know how to access nothing else, and it's simple.
00:22:01Just come to a point where you realize that it's a gift,
00:22:06and it's yours.
00:22:12And when trouble comes, and it seems to stop that,
00:22:16you are echoing what's already yours.
00:22:22You sick, you're like, devil, I don't believe you got a memo.
00:22:25You know healing's finished, don't you?
00:22:28You do understand healing's finished.
00:22:30Healing's finished.
00:22:32I got a brother of mine who, he had cancer where his PSA was
00:22:39like in the 300s and something, and he was in the military,
00:22:42and he got some stuff that happened to him,
00:22:44and basically, you know, the doctor was like, you know,
00:22:50and he was so calm and cool.
00:22:52No, I'm good.
00:22:54Everything all right.
00:22:56Everybody thinking like, what's going on?
00:22:58I'm good.
00:22:58Everything all right.
00:23:00And they did a procedure.
00:23:01Well, they didn't do a procedure.
00:23:02He took something that they said, well,
00:23:04we don't even know if it's gonna work.
00:23:05It worked for so many percentage,
00:23:08and he literally expelled the cancer out of his body.
00:23:13And I got news just this past week that he is 100% cancer free.
00:23:22So, don't come telling me about what you've been knowing all
00:23:27your life and who said it, because you're free not to hear
00:23:33nothing I say, and I'm free to keep going on and teaching
00:23:38and whoever believe that I might win some.
00:23:40Amen.
00:23:41You wanna go to another church?
00:23:45Call me.
00:23:46I can give you some recommendations.
00:23:49But we're not going from here.
00:23:50We have entered into the realm of the finished.
00:23:56We're not going back to the past.
00:23:59We are in the finished.
00:24:00We are in the completed.
00:24:01We are in the done.
00:24:02We are in the finished.
00:24:03We are in the can't be undone.
00:24:05I ain't moving from that place.
00:24:07Every time something come to my mind,
00:24:08I remind myself it's done.
00:24:13My victory is done.
00:24:15All the battles that I'll ever fight,
00:24:17the victory of it is done.
00:24:19I ain't scared of no battles, because whatever come,
00:24:21I just keep myself standing in the finished,
00:24:24and the victory's already there.
00:24:26So, listen, I gotta stand.
00:24:27I ain't gonna be scared.
00:24:28I ain't gonna be afraid.
00:24:29Just stand.
00:24:30Don't move nowhere.
00:24:31Stay in that realm.
00:24:32Stay in the dimension where God abides.
00:24:34You gotta understand the last word Jesus said was,
00:24:36it is finished.
00:24:39And then you're going around, no, it ain't.
00:24:41No, it ain't.
00:24:41You gotta do this and this.
00:24:42I got seven steps for it to be finished.
00:24:44I'll slap you seven steps for it to be finished.
00:24:46It's already finished.
00:24:48It already finished.
00:24:49You ain't doing nothing.
00:24:54Come on, tell me.
00:24:55What, what?
00:24:56Come on, come on, come on.
00:24:57You didn't do your job.
00:24:58You was off your job.
00:24:59Sweet lips, sweet lips, sweet lips.
00:25:01Stand up there and let me do that.
00:25:02Sweet lips.
00:25:07All right, 24.
00:25:11Wherefore, the law was our schoolmaster, the Mosaic law.
00:25:18The Mosaic law was basically do good, get good.
00:25:24The Mosaic law is you gotta do something to get
00:25:27something from God.
00:25:27That's what dead works all about.
00:25:29Dead works are you trying to deserve something and working
00:25:33hard to get something from God.
00:25:35The law was all about performance.
00:25:38The law was a performance-based agreement.
00:25:40If you do this, then gotta do that.
00:25:44The law was all about a performance-based agreement.
00:25:46If you do this, then gotta do that, okay?
00:25:49The law was our schoolmaster.
00:25:54They had to have something.
00:25:55People were doing stupid stuff back then, but it was designed
00:26:01to bring us unto Christ.
00:26:05It was good until Christ showed up.
00:26:10And once you came unto Christ, you might be justified by faith.
00:26:16Now, we'll deal with that in a minute.
00:26:19But after that, faith is come.
00:26:24What?
00:26:24Faith is come?
00:26:27Well, what did they have before faith come?
00:26:29What do you mean faith is come?
00:26:32When faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
00:26:36Well, who was it that actually came?
00:26:39Jesus is our faith.
00:26:42I said Jesus is our faith.
00:26:45I said Jesus is our faith.
00:26:49God gave us Jesus, and then we accepted Jesus, and Jesus is our
00:26:54faith, and when Jesus is what God thinks of you.
00:27:03Jesus is our faith.
00:27:04He looks at you, and he thinks Jesus.
00:27:09But after that faith is come, we are no longer under the
00:27:12schoolmaster, which means we are no longer under the law,
00:27:15because faith has come.
00:27:16Christ has come.
00:27:17Jesus has come.
00:27:18Faith is a person.
00:27:19Faith is a person.
00:27:21Faith is a person.
00:27:22Jesus is the faith that came.
00:27:26Come on, next verse.
00:27:28For you are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
00:27:37We're gonna look at that.
00:27:38For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ,
00:27:43you put on Christ.
00:27:46There is neither Jew nor Greek.
00:27:48There is neither bond nor free.
00:27:50There is neither male nor female.
00:27:52For you are all what?
00:27:54One in Christ.
00:27:55Come on.
00:27:57You are all heirs, and if you be Christ, and you are heirs
00:28:12according to the promise.
00:28:15All right, let's read that in the, what is that?
00:28:20Galatians 3?
00:28:22Let's read that in the mirror, and then I'll start
00:28:24the sermon for today.
00:28:28I ain't started yet.
00:28:29I'm just trying to get everybody on the same page.
00:28:35Galatians chapter 3, and let's look at, start at verse 24.
00:28:40This is pretty amazing here.
00:28:45He says, the law was acting just like a slave appointed to be the
00:28:50guardian of his master's children until they would be of
00:28:55age to go to the proper school of Christ to find in faith, to
00:28:59find in faith their righteousness revealed and
00:29:02endorsed.
00:29:04Now that we have arrived at our destination, the prophetic road
00:29:08signs and pointers are of no further use.
00:29:12Faith, replace the custodian.
00:29:17Now that faith has come, the law is no longer relevant.
00:29:22What Jesus Christ believes to be true about you is the final
00:29:26confirmation of mankind's redeemed sonship.
00:29:30His faith is the only valid reference to your belief.
00:29:36So, you know what he just said?
00:29:38What?
00:29:39Don't we have to believe?
00:29:40Yeah, I believe that it's his faith.
00:29:43I believe that my faith is his faith.
00:29:47Nothing resembles your previous identity as Jew or Gentile,
00:29:51non-free, male, female, billabong.
00:29:54Now, you are all defined in oneness with Christ.
00:30:01You're defined in oneness with Christ as your identity.
00:30:04He is your significance and makes you beautiful.
00:30:07Since Christ is the seed of promise, oh, that's good, Christ
00:30:11is the seed of promise, it is only in our realizing our union
00:30:16with him that we are equally related to Abraham and heirs of
00:30:20the house.
00:30:21Faith and not flesh relates us to Abraham.
00:30:27Faith, I ain't got to be Jewish, faith is what relates us to
00:30:31Abraham, not flesh, not DNA, not blood type.
00:30:36He's the father of those who have received this faith.
00:30:41Now, what was that you just put on my heart?
00:30:45Anyway, let's go ahead and it'll come back up.
00:30:50Let's look at verse 24 and let's milk these things.
00:30:58So, the law was our guardian until Christ came that by faith
00:31:03we might be justified.
00:31:06Now, in the Greek, that verse is translated by faith.
00:31:12The word faith, you remember last week, is a genitive case,
00:31:17meaning that the faith belongs to someone, but who does it
00:31:22belong to?
00:31:24You see, traditionally, we see the word by faith, the phrase
00:31:29by faith, and automatically we read it as by putting our faith
00:31:33in Christ, and then by putting our faith in Christ, we might
00:31:39be justified.
00:31:40That's what we read.
00:31:40No, no, no.
00:31:43The Greek doesn't say by, it says eke, eke, which points to
00:31:51the origin and the source.
00:31:54So, whose faith is being referred to here in this verse?
00:32:00Christ's faith.
00:32:02The source of this faith is Christ, not us.
00:32:08It's Christ who's the source of the faith.
00:32:11Our faith is not the origin or the source of our justification.
00:32:16Our faith is not the source of our justification.
00:32:19Our faith is not the source of our righteousness.
00:32:22It's not the origin.
00:32:23His faith is.
00:32:25Now, if you're referring to his faith as your faith, we cool,
00:32:30but you know what I'm saying?
00:32:31I'm trying to make a distinction between his faith and you
00:32:34thinking you got your faith that's not his faith.
00:32:38I know y'all got that.
00:32:40Verse 25, now that faith has come, we are no longer under
00:32:45a guardian.
00:32:47So, the word faith in this verse is also a genitive case,
00:32:53which means it belongs to someone whose faith does
00:32:56belong to.
00:32:57And again, Paul is talking about this, and he's making it very
00:33:02clear because here he says, you know, and you ask yourself this
00:33:05question, was it our faith that got us free from the Mosaic law?
00:33:08No, our faith didn't get us free from the Mosaic law.
00:33:13Jesus set mankind free from the law.
00:33:16It's his faith.
00:33:19So, this verse is referring to his faith.
00:33:22In other words, when he who is a full expression of God's faith
00:33:27comes, which is Jesus, when he who is of a full expression of
00:33:32God's faith come, mankind was no longer under the law.
00:33:38So, the faith came.
00:33:41Jesus came, and the faith justified.
00:33:46Now, here's a word I want you to keep.
00:33:47This is so cool.
00:33:49The faith justified all mankind.
00:33:52Two thousand years ago, the faith justified all mankind.
00:33:57Here's the shocking thing.
00:33:58Everybody on the planet, salvation has been made
00:34:02available, Titus chapter 2, to everybody in the whole world.
00:34:07Justification available to everybody in the whole world.
00:34:11Huh, what's the issue?
00:34:15You accepted it, and they hadn't realized it yet.
00:34:21What's our job?
00:34:22Get them to realize what Jesus, get them to realize what a gift
00:34:27Jesus is to you.
00:34:30Get them to realize what a gift Jesus is.
00:34:32Some of you might be here today, and you're not born again.
00:34:35What am I trying to do?
00:34:35I'm trying to get you to realize what a gift he is to you.
00:34:41But you keep focusing on, do this and go to heaven,
00:34:43do that, go to hell.
00:34:44I'm trying to get you to realize he's already done
00:34:48everything for you.
00:34:50Please accept him.
00:34:51Please accept him.
00:34:56But you know how most Christians are.
00:35:00We make it hard.
00:35:02Now, if you get saved, you gotta be holy,
00:35:05because you can't see Jesus if you ain't holy,
00:35:09which means you can't wear them pants no more.
00:35:11We make it all hard.
00:35:13I'll tell you what, you can't miss more than one Sunday a
00:35:17year, or you ain't right, and God don't like ugly,
00:35:22but it's always this thing, you know,
00:35:25that's trying to make it hard for people.
00:35:27Jesus said, my yoke is easy, my burdens are light,
00:35:30but church folks try to make it hard,
00:35:32and they don't even do all the stuff they're trying to make it
00:35:33hard for other people to do.
00:35:41Are y'all following me now?
00:35:43It was the God faith that was embodied in the God man that
00:35:48was embodied in Jesus Christ.
00:35:50The source and the origin of our justification.
00:35:54Not your faith.
00:35:56He, through his faith, was the source of all gifts.
00:36:02You are righteous because of him,
00:36:06redeemed because of him, perfect because of him,
00:36:09holy because of him.
00:36:11You're all the things right now because of him.
00:36:14That is your stance, and he's working on your desire to get
00:36:17you to line up with your stance.
00:36:19When you accepted him, all of these things are yours.
00:36:23Now, he's working on your desire to help bring you in the line
00:36:29and realization of what you already have.
00:36:39I love this stuff, boy.
00:36:41Verse 26, this is the King James,
00:36:45for you are all sons of God.
00:36:48It says here, through faith in Christ Jesus.
00:36:51Again, this verse has in in it, faith in Christ Jesus.
00:36:56And in the Greek, it's there too, in.
00:36:59But the Greek word, you know, it's not in as far as you're
00:37:04having to do this to earn it.
00:37:06It's not saying that we ought to put our faith in Christ.
00:37:09Please, don't get that same thing going on in that verse.
00:37:14It's not saying you have this because you put your faith in
00:37:17Christ.
00:37:19It is saying that it is the faith of Christ.
00:37:22God's faith is the source and the origin of our sonship,
00:37:27not your faith.
00:37:28God's faith is.
00:37:29The reason why you are a son of God and reason why you're
00:37:32children of God is because of the faith of Jesus Christ.
00:37:35You didn't do nothing to make that happen.
00:37:40There's not, that's not what's being said in this verse,
00:37:44in verse 26.
00:37:46There's no faith in this verse.
00:37:47Again, it's a genitive case, meaning who does it belong to?
00:37:50Who is it?
00:37:52Well, it says that it is through faith that we are made sons of
00:37:57God, his faith that makes us children of God.
00:38:03It is his faith.
00:38:04I love Acts 17, 28.
00:38:06Turn there in King James, Acts 17, 28 and 29.
00:38:10Please understand what I'm saying.
00:38:12It was through the faith that was in Christ Jesus.
00:38:15I love what he's saying here.
00:38:16The faith that is in Christ Jesus, that is possessed,
00:38:19that is embodied by Christ Jesus.
00:38:20The reflection of God's faith.
00:38:23Paul is not saying that we are sons because of our faith in
00:38:26Christ Jesus, Acts 17, 28 and 29, for in him we live,
00:38:31in him we move, in him we have our business, our being.
00:38:36As certain also of your own poets have said,
00:38:39for we are also, what?
00:38:42Offsprings, verse 29, for as much then as we are the
00:38:46offsprings of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is
00:38:50like unto gold or silver or stones or graven by art and man's
00:38:55devices and stuff that came from his stuff.
00:39:01To tell you the truth, we have always been sons.
00:39:06It was his doing, not ours, that made us sons.
00:39:09We came from him.
00:39:10He is our daddy.
00:39:11Okay, so hello to Christian folk.
00:39:13You're not saved.
00:39:14Please understand, the whole world has access to all of the
00:39:19gifts that have been made available to mankind.
00:39:24What's the only thing standing between them and the gift?
00:39:26The only thing that was standing between us, we accepted him.
00:39:29So, we are accessing, we are taking a hold or laying a hold
00:39:35of what we realize now that is ours.
00:39:39We're accepting the gift.
00:39:42The only difference, the only difference is everything that
00:39:44he made available for all of us here in church, he made
00:39:48available to everybody in the club.
00:39:56So, what's the deal?
00:39:58They're not accepting it in the club.
00:40:02But you know what?
00:40:03They will.
00:40:05You know why?
00:40:06Because you and me and more than that, the Holy Ghost, the Holy
00:40:11Spirit, the Holy Spirit, he's on the other side.
00:40:13So, you won't accept this.
00:40:14So now, I got to, I got a way already planned.
00:40:17The path has already been planned.
00:40:19You say, you ain't gonna step the hill, but I already got the
00:40:21path.
00:40:22I know what you got to move.
00:40:24I know where you're gonna be at the day you realize that you
00:40:27wanna accept me.
00:40:28I already know.
00:40:29So, go ahead, but I got this thing covered.
00:40:31I, I, you're gonna, you're gonna want, you're gonna want me,
00:40:35you're gonna want what I got, you're gonna need what I got.
00:40:37You're going to get tired of what life is dealing to you,
00:40:42and once you get tired of that, I'm going to be
00:40:43whispering in your ear,
00:40:44hey, I got something better.
00:40:48Hey, hey, it's already done.
00:40:50It's already finished.
00:40:52It's completed.
00:40:53It's done.
00:40:54It's a gift.
00:40:55Let me give you a gift.
00:40:56Everybody like gifts?
00:40:57Let me give you a gift.
00:40:58Let me give you a gift.
00:41:00But the issue is, as simple as what I just explained to you,
00:41:05religion's made it hard.
00:41:09Religion's made it so hard, and with it,
00:41:12religion has put the threat of hell and the fear of death.
00:41:20And then, consequently, with the threat of hell and the fear
00:41:22of death, the thing you fear the most comes upon you,
00:41:25and all of the stuff happens, and people end up dying without
00:41:29accepting a free and gracious gift because they kept going to
00:41:36the church.
00:41:40It's like a drug pusher would just give you a little taste,
00:41:42so you keep wanting more of the same bad stuff.
00:41:44Why do you keep going to that church?
00:41:47Because my mama went there.
00:41:50Where your mama at?
00:41:50She dead.
00:41:59I have nothing else to do in this life.
00:42:02I have done everything I want to do.
00:42:04I could leave the earth today and say,
00:42:06what a ride, but every time I think about y'all and the
00:42:23religious journey that I've gone through with others and the
00:42:28condemnation, coming to church condemned,
00:42:30coming to church and get more shame from the pulpit.
00:42:34The sermon shamed me.
00:42:38They preach on fatherhood, and they tell me how bad of a father
00:42:41I am in so many words by talking about all the things I needed to
00:42:44do, and they say, none of me by God trying to help me,
00:42:47and God gonna help me, and God got this planned out,
00:42:49that you just is going to hell.
00:42:50You a bad father.
00:42:51You ain't no good.
00:42:52God don't like ugly.
00:42:55And I just was condemned and just beat myself up,
00:42:58and I'm just trying, Lord.
00:42:58I'm just trying, Lord.
00:43:00And then you try, and then you don't slip up,
00:43:04but you cut somebody out, and cause you condemned and shamed
00:43:10in church, and you just, you know,
00:43:12you're human, so you gotta release this,
00:43:14and you're supposed to deny you're human.
00:43:15You ain't human.
00:43:16You are human.
00:43:17You are human.
00:43:18Then you deny your emotions like you're not supposed
00:43:20to have emotions.
00:43:21You do have emotions.
00:43:22You have emotions.
00:43:23You get sad, you get happy.
00:43:25I'm telling you, you can't even be sad at your mama's funeral,
00:43:29because if you're sad at your mama's funeral,
00:43:31then you ain't got no faith.
00:43:35I just, just, I was like, you know what?
00:43:39I'm over this.
00:43:41That's just several times I thought, well, you know what?
00:43:43Maybe the atheist has got it better than some of this.
00:43:45This stuff don't even make no sense to me.
00:43:47I'm just tired.
00:43:48Time, I think I got it, then something else come up,
00:43:50and then time, you know, come up, man.
00:43:51Well, you need to confess the Word.
00:43:52Well, what do I need to confess?
00:43:54I wrote a page down, and then that wasn't enough,
00:43:56so I wrote another page down.
00:43:57Then it wasn't enough, and I wrote, I got five pages
00:43:59of confession.
00:44:00I'm gonna be late to work.
00:44:01I got all these confessions I gotta send.
00:44:08And then I talked to God, then it wasn't enough
00:44:09to talk to God.
00:44:10Now, I got to talk to God for an hour.
00:44:12I'm like, well, where that at?
00:44:13You know, should you not pray for one hour?
00:44:15Okay, well, that's what he said, and, you know,
00:44:18so I'm gonna pray for one hour, and then I get up some morning,
00:44:20and I'm tired, because I went to bed at midnight that night,
00:44:24and I got up, and I set my clock for one hour,
00:44:25and I said,
00:44:26I blah, I shrah, shrah, shhh, oh, rah, rah, rah, rah,
00:44:32baah, and then I got up some morning,
00:44:33I got to go, and rah, rah, rah, rah, rah, rah, rah, rah, rah,
00:44:35I'm like, ooh, boy, I'm getting this thing.
00:44:37I'm in the spirit.
00:44:37That clock ain't but two minutes went by.
00:44:39I was like, it's just, and then, finally, one day,
00:44:44God was like, you know, you know, I told him.
00:44:47I said, I just gotta be honest with you.
00:44:49If I can't be honest with you, who I'ma be honest with?
00:44:51And I said, I don't enjoy this prayer time.
00:44:57And you know what he said?
00:44:58Me neither, because God don't want you to having to pray out
00:45:06of your got to.
00:45:08He wants you to pray out of I want to.
00:45:10He don't want you to give out of I got to.
00:45:13He wants you to give out of I want to.
00:45:15He don't want you to love out of I got to.
00:45:17He wants you to love out of I want to.
00:45:19He wants a desire from you to want him, to want to do him.
00:45:24And he wants to work on you and to give you the delight of your
00:45:27life so you can live life in abundance to the full until it
00:45:31overflows.
00:45:32That's the kind of God life he wants you to have.
00:45:36But you can't have it because you're too entrenched and stuck
00:45:39into religious law and tradition.
00:45:41And you're tired.
00:45:51You're tired like I was when I, you know, we used to have, you
00:45:54know, morning service, then we had to come back for evening
00:45:57service, and we had Tuesday night Bible study, and Wednesday
00:46:01night Bible study, Friday night something, and Saturday
00:46:05something.
00:46:06And I said, I had to do all of that if I'm gonna get to heaven.
00:46:12You know, I see Jesus, you know, 99 and a half won't do.
00:46:19You got to make a hundred.
00:46:20I wasn't making no hundred.
00:46:21Never.
00:46:22I was never making no hundred.
00:46:23Sometime I'm making 50.
00:46:24Pastor called me one evening.
00:46:29He said, uh, he said, did you come back to church?
00:46:32I said, no.
00:46:33He said, come on, son, just this one time.
00:46:38I said, I'm tired.
00:46:40I lost it.
00:46:42I didn't know serving Jesus was so hard.
00:46:45I'm tireder after Sunday than I am after work.
00:46:51And I was believing God for some shoes because they said
00:46:53the faith stuff will work.
00:46:57The best thing I did is I just forgot about it.
00:46:59I said, whatever.
00:47:01If God want to bless me with some shoes, he'll bless me
00:47:03with some shoes.
00:47:04If not, then I'll just figure out and give me some money and
00:47:06go and buy me some.
00:47:08I remember this as Ken had put plastic on a rainy day.
00:47:13Didn't you have some holes in your shoes too?
00:47:15It was just, we both had holes, right?
00:47:20I'm so glad to know that.
00:47:21I thought all this time I thought I'm the only one who
00:47:23had holes in his shoes.
00:47:24Yeah, we both had holes in his shoes.
00:47:26Sometime we tried to wear each other's shoes.
00:47:28Whichever one, that was the best one.
00:47:31Figured out a way to put plastic, you know, your socks
00:47:34on, I think we put plastic over the socks and then put
00:47:37plastic on.
00:47:40It wasn't funny because, you know, sometimes we step on a
00:47:44rock, a pebble.
00:47:47And so, I said, man, let's use this faith.
00:47:51And it was the time I wasn't going to come to church and I
00:47:53said, I'm tired, boy.
00:47:57So, I went.
00:48:00I had an attitude.
00:48:02Y'all know, nice, nasty.
00:48:05Praise the Lord, Reverend Dollar, mm-hmm, praise him.
00:48:09Praise him.
00:48:10You need to praise him because I'm too tired to praise him.
00:48:12I done praised him all morning and night.
00:48:14I'm tired of praising him.
00:48:16Walked out there and they called me to the front and first thing
00:48:21they pulled out of the bag was some shoes.
00:48:24I needed that.
00:48:25I just needed something.
00:48:27It just let me know that God, God cares.
00:48:31And I realized, I realized it's hard to give financially when
00:48:36you don't believe that God will take care of you.
00:48:41So, you ain't trying to give none to an offering because you
00:48:43don't believe that God will take care of you and then you make up
00:48:45excuses for all the reasons why you don't do it.
00:48:47And the real reason is you don't believe that God, you can't
00:48:49trust.
00:48:50And so, all of this mistranslations has got us to
00:48:58where we bought all of the con.
00:49:04We didn't stay in context and then we took the text out of
00:49:06context and we were left with the con.
00:49:11Not that people were doing it to everybody.
00:49:13We were just only teaching what we all knew.
00:49:18But when you know better, you can teach better and when you're
00:49:20taught better, you can receive better and you can live better.
00:49:24And that's all I'm trying to do.
00:49:26I ain't just trying to be a problem.
00:49:31He's just trying to be a problem, talking about all that
00:49:33stuff.
00:49:34Why don't you just keep it like it is?
00:49:37We had a lady call the office this week, talking about, y'all
00:49:39need to stay away from all that Greek.
00:49:41It wasn't but three Greek words.
00:49:46Every time I got involved, you'd think we were sitting up here
00:49:48talking in Greek.
00:49:49I'm not sure why we as believers struggle with it being his
00:50:10faith and not ours.
00:50:14We realize that it's his strength.
00:50:18We realize that it's his wisdom.
00:50:22We realize that it's his righteousness.
00:50:24So, why wouldn't we realize that it's his faith in us, that it's
00:50:31his faith through us?
00:50:34Here's the Scripture that convinced me.
00:50:37First Corinthians chapter 4 and 7 in the NLT.
00:50:40First Corinthians chapter 4 and 7 in the NLT.
00:50:43Well, let's look in the King James and then the NLT.
00:50:46Oh, Father, for who maketh thee to differ from one another?
00:50:51And what hast thou that thou did not receive?
00:50:56Now, if thou didn't receive it, why dost thou glory as if thou
00:51:01had not received it?
00:51:04Now, look at this in the NLT.
00:51:07For what gives you the right to make such a judgment?
00:51:12What do you have that God hasn't given you?
00:51:16All right, stop right there.
00:51:17Answer that question.
00:51:20What do you have that God hasn't given you?
00:51:24No, no, some of y'all really think,
00:51:26well, he ain't give me it.
00:51:27It's just like my daddy.
00:51:28When my nephew, somebody asked him and he got a bike for
00:51:33Christmas, he said, they said, who got you that bike?
00:51:39Ryan said, Jesus.
00:51:41My daddy said, no, Jesus didn't get you that bike.
00:51:43I bought you that bike.
00:51:44Well, he didn't know.
00:51:51Some of us think the same way.
00:51:52No, Jesus didn't.
00:51:55You don't understand it took inhaling and exhaling for you to
00:51:58do whatever it is you do.
00:52:01It took divine protection for what was gonna happen,
00:52:03what could've happened, what should've happened.
00:52:06It took God to make it happen.
00:52:08What do you have that God hadn't given you?
00:52:10And if everything you have is from God,
00:52:12why boast as though it were not a gift?
00:52:14Everything you have is from God, it's a gift.
00:52:16And you're boasting like it's not a gift,
00:52:18but something you have given to you.
00:52:20You're not a gift.
00:52:22You're not a gift.
00:52:24You're not a gift.
00:52:26You're not a gift.
00:52:28You're not a gift.
00:52:30You're not a gift.
00:52:32You're not a gift.
00:52:35You're not a gift, but something you earned.
00:52:38You're boasting like it's something you earned,
00:52:41something you worked for, something you should be
00:52:44congratulated for, something you should get a pat on the back
00:52:47for.
00:52:48He said everything comes from God,
00:52:50and you're boasting like it's not a gift.
00:52:52And he even said, on our salvation,
00:52:54we were saved by grace through faith.
00:52:56He said, it's not of your own lest any man should boast.
00:53:00The only time you boast is when you think you responsible for
00:53:04it.
00:53:11You see why I gotta take my time with this?
00:53:13There's a lot.
00:53:14It's like an onion.
00:53:15You just peel that onion.
00:53:16There's still another level, and you're peeling,
00:53:18and there's still another level, and you're peeling.
00:53:20You're still another level.
00:53:21That's why you can't come to church this month,
00:53:23and I see y'all in January.
00:53:25You liable to come back here and don't even understand what we
00:53:29saying.
00:53:34What they talking about?
00:53:36You'll come back here talking about, yes,
00:53:38look at what I did in my faith.
00:53:39And people be looking at you like,
00:53:41Lord, you ain't been in church in a long time.
00:53:43The Word received.
00:53:49You remember the Greek word from last week?
00:53:51Eris is talking about the tense.
00:53:54What we've received from him is finished.
00:53:59It's finished.
00:54:01It's a finished fact.
00:54:03All that we have received, which includes his faith in us.
00:54:09His faith in us is finished.
00:54:11His faith in us is perfected.
00:54:13His faith in us is complete in us.
00:54:17And then if you go back to Galatians 3.27,
00:54:26he says, for as many as were baptized into Christ have put on
00:54:30Christ.
00:54:32He's not talking about water baptism.
00:54:36I've seen preachers do that.
00:54:37Well, in order to put on Christ, you got to get baptized.
00:54:42He's talking about immersion into Christ.
00:54:45He's talking about our identity, that we're so in him that Christ
00:54:50is now my identity.
00:54:52Who was immersed or who was baptized into Christ?
00:54:56Notice what it is.
00:54:58It says, as many as.
00:55:00That phrase, as many as.
00:55:02And that's what Paul here is talking about in this verse.
00:55:08He's talking about baptism in Christ as it equates to those
00:55:13who died with him, those who were buried with him, those who
00:55:17are raised in him, raised with him.
00:55:20He's talking about our identity.
00:55:21I identify with the burial.
00:55:24I identify with the death.
00:55:26I identify with the resurrection.
00:55:29This is my identity, praise God.
00:55:32I ain't going to say what I said Wednesday night, but this is our
00:55:34identity.
00:55:35Our identity is Jesus.
00:55:36I slipped up Wednesday night.
00:55:37The Lord had to forgive me.
00:55:38I slipped up.
00:55:41I said a word I said I wasn't going to say no more in the
00:55:43pulpit and just came out like that, just like that.
00:55:46I said, oh, God, no.
00:55:47I just came.
00:55:48I said, dang, did I say that?
00:55:49I said, and myself told myself, you sure did, boy.
00:55:52I was like that.
00:55:53Who is it that died with him?
00:55:59We did.
00:56:00Who is it that was buried with him?
00:56:02We were.
00:56:03Who was raised with him?
00:56:04We were.
00:56:05All right, watch this.
00:56:06All mankind, that is, listen to me, all mankind, everything I'm
00:56:12talking about, it ain't just everybody in this room, you just
00:56:14accepted it, but all mankind, all were baptized, all were
00:56:20immersed into Christ so that we could live in the newness of
00:56:23life, so in the resurrected life, his life in us.
00:56:27And here's the sad thing.
00:56:30Not all yet are awakened to that truth.
00:56:35Not even everyone in church who prayed the sinner's prayer and
00:56:40asked Christ to come into their heart has awakened to the
00:56:43fullness of his resurrection life in us.
00:56:46We don't believe that what Jesus did, he did and made it
00:56:50possible for the whole world.
00:56:51They have yet to accept it.
00:56:53You have.
00:56:54Our job is show them Jesus, show them Jesus.
00:57:03Let your life be a living utensil and show them Jesus so
00:57:09they can come to the place of realizing, oh, you mean I can
00:57:13have that too?
00:57:14Yes.
00:57:15Amen.
00:57:25His strength is our strength.
00:57:27His wisdom is our wisdom.
00:57:30His righteousness is our righteousness, and his faith is
00:57:34our faith, and then in verse 28, he continues,
00:57:39with mankind's identity being in Christ, they are no longer
00:57:43defined by their own personal identities.
00:57:46Huh?
00:57:47No longer, you're not defined by your identity as a Jew or a
00:57:52Greek or a slave or free or a male or a female, but all are
00:57:56defined by him.
00:57:58All are defined by Jesus.
00:58:01You can't define me no more as a black man.
00:58:04You can't define me no more as a male man or a female person.
00:58:07You can't define me.
00:58:09You can only define me by Jesus.
00:58:11Your identity is Jesus, and that is what's under attack.
00:58:15He wants to attack your identity in Jesus.
00:58:17He can't get you.
00:58:19He can't see you.
00:58:20Devil ain't gonna sit back and just let you walk around with
00:58:22your identity in Jesus.
00:58:23He gonna attack your identity just like he attacked Jesus'
00:58:26identity.
00:58:27When Jesus was led into the wilderness by the Spirit of God
00:58:32and Satan came and attacked his identity.
00:58:34If you are the Son of God, because I don't believe you
00:58:38are, if you are the Son of God, turn these stone into bread.
00:58:44And Jesus was thinking, well, I can turn the stone into bread,
00:58:49but if I do that, I am defending something I don't need to be
00:58:57defending.
00:58:58I know who I am.
00:59:04Why do I have to prove to you that I know who I am?
00:59:09You're just trying to get me to doubt what I already know
00:59:12about myself.
00:59:13So, I ain't gonna turn these stone into bread because I don't
00:59:17need your validation.
00:59:21I don't need you to validate my identity.
00:59:23I don't need you to validate my sonship, and that's what we gotta
00:59:27stop doing.
00:59:28You don't have to approve.
00:59:30You don't need nobody's approval to have the identity that Jesus
00:59:33has given you.
00:59:34I don't need your approval.
00:59:36I'm grown.
00:59:37I don't need your approval for me to have the identity of Jesus.
00:59:43I ain't got to prove to you where, where, and then, but I
00:59:45ain't got to show you nothing.
00:59:46I know who I am.
00:59:48I have the identity of Jesus.
00:59:51That's the gospel, folks.
01:00:02That's good news.
01:00:03That's the good, glad, happy news that will make a man jump
01:00:05for joy.
01:00:06So, here, Christ is not contrasting two human endeavors,
01:00:17obeying the law, or having faith in Christ.
01:00:20Instead, he is contrasting works of the law to the revelation of
01:00:24the finished.
01:00:26He's not saying that this new life is now about putting our
01:00:30faith in Christ instead of obeying the law.
01:00:32He's not saying that.
01:00:33That would still be works.
01:00:34That's what you'll be doing to become.
01:00:38And Paul's message was, all is finished, and we are to live our
01:00:43lives resting in the realm of the finished.
01:00:47That's the good news of the gospel, that everything is done,
01:00:51that everything is finished, and this sermon and teaching for
01:00:56today is finished, because I am all out of time.
01:01:01That's good news, too.
01:01:05Good look.
01:01:06You are all gonna love them.
01:01:10Keep God bless.
01:01:11Thank you so much.
01:01:12Do a great work.
01:01:13God, bless you.
01:01:14Amen.
01:01:15God, thank you.
01:01:19Let us wait.
01:01:21God, bless you.
01:01:25Thank you for having me.
01:01:27Thanks for the relationship, brother.
01:01:29It's been awesome.
