Magherafelt entrepreneur Aisling Bremner founded local sustainable outerwear brand Wild & Free after becoming ‘professionally burnt out and at a crossroads’ and dreaming of her own business

00:00I'm Aisling Bremner, founder of Wild & Free.

00:03Wild & Free designs versatile luxury outerwear for every day,

00:07and we're on a mission to get people outdoors to help mind their mental health

00:10and to feel more joy and more alive in life.

00:13Alongside my husband Robbie and inspired by days at the coast

00:16and in the great outdoors with our three children, Patty, Katie and Jack.

00:21In 2023, we launched Wild & Free and have just celebrated our first birthday.

00:26With over 20 years in brand marketing,

00:28I've had the great privilege in my career of building many global and national brands.

00:32But through COVID, I felt burnout, a feeling of stuckness in life,

00:36and I had a deep longing to create something that reflected my own passions

00:41and a brand that could do good and really make an impact on people's lives.

00:46That's when Wild & Free was born.

00:47A brand that embodies the need to live life in their own terms,

00:50to truly feel alive in this short life of ours

00:53and embrace the outdoors as a powerful source of wellness.

00:57Our signature product, The Cove, has truly captured the hearts of our customers.

01:02It's a versatile two-in-one, cozy, luxury raincoat and changing rug

01:07made from recycled materials,

01:09fully waterproof and designed with both style and functionality in mind.

01:21But building a business like this isn't without its challenges,

01:24especially when you're wearing so many hats.

01:30it's a constant juggle.

01:32Yet seeing our vision come to life and hearing how much people love The Cove

01:35makes it all so worthwhile.

01:39which is why we take our time with product development
