00:03I'm here at the Blackpool Eliminations and we're just starting to hot up.

00:06We're expecting it to start at 5pm with performances from Sydney Christmas, Ella Henderson and Kimberly Wyatt.

00:12With the celebrity star turning on the Eliminations being Mel B.

02:45What was your initial reaction when you first got the call that you'd be performing at the Eliminations?

02:51I couldn't believe it because this is going to be the biggest live audience that I've ever performed in front of.

02:59So I was super nervous, super excited.

03:03Very surreal moment. This is like, okay, this is happening.

03:07Serious. It was great. It was good. I'm excited.

03:11What would be your message to everyone who's come out to celebrate the Eliminations and see you perform tonight?

03:17Massive thank you. Massive thank you. Enjoy your evening and never give up on your dreams because I'm so glad I didn't.

03:25I nearly did but, you know, I don't know.

03:29If it was the biggest crowd and it was such a moment for you, how did your family react when you told them?

03:35What was the reaction to the moment?

03:37I don't think they understood how many people came.

03:42So my mum looked this morning and then booked a train and she's just got here. She's just up there.

03:49She couldn't believe it. She couldn't miss it.

03:51Have you been to Blackpool before? Have you come here as a kid?

03:53No.

03:54So it's your first time?

03:55No, my first time.

03:56What's been your first impressions?

03:58Well, the sun is great. It is like I'm in a different country, to be honest.

04:03This is like the strip. Everyone's having the best time.

04:07I'm, you know, party town. Am I right? Party central? Party central?

04:11Yeah, I think that's pretty accurate.

04:12I feel that. I'm excited for the nightlife. I'm not going to lie. I can imagine it's like pumping.

04:19Wait till they light it up and you can see.

04:22So it'll be your first time at the Eliminations as well?

04:24Yeah, absolutely. So this is massive. I'm excited.

09:15I used to be a dancer in Blackpool. My first ever proper job was at the Blackpool Pleasure Beach. I loved the Blackpool Pleasure Beach!

09:25And as a kid she used to tell me I could leave over Blackpool to see sight.

09:29I used to come every year with my mum and dad and my sister to watch the lights being turned on.

09:35And this year I'm doing it!

09:40And I'll tell you, from one artist to another, you know, you're standing there and you're watching Ella Henderson do Ghost.

09:46And I can see you, your eyes are pretty dark.

09:48And my favourite song, How Good Was Ella Henderson?

09:55So, how many of these have you done before now?

09:58Well, Spice Girls switched on the London lights and now Miley Cyrus' house is switching on the dark.

10:06So this switch actually does control the lights.

10:11So the minute you do switch that switch, the whole of the theatre is going to light up.
