Slot preparing for 'hostile' first outing at Old Trafford

Arne Slot says he doesn't need people to tell him the importance of Liverpool and Manchester United's rivalry.

00:00I think preparing for every game takes a lot of time,

00:04and one of the most important things is to prepare them for what they can expect.

00:09And what they can expect is mostly about the players they face,

00:13but I think now, playing in a hostile environment with 75,000,

00:18players have to be aware of that, but the good thing for me

00:23is it might be my first time that I go there with Liverpool,

00:26it's going to be my second time over there,

00:29but many of these players have played there before,

00:31so I don't think I have to prepare them for these 75,000,

00:34they've been used to this, but I have to prepare them

00:37in the best possible way of what they can expect,

00:40because United play, in my opinion, a bit different than the last two seasons,

00:44so therefore I need to prepare them.

00:47Some of them try to tell me a few things about it,

00:49but I don't think that's really necessary.

00:51If you're starting to work at Liverpool, everybody knows,

00:55every player that comes in knows, and every manager that comes in knows

00:58how important the game against United is.
