We take inventory of the Dolphins latest Cuts. What will we do with the running back room? Leroy gives his take on what the Fins will do at various positions and why?

00:16The Dolphins cut Ohio State rookie guard Matthew Jones.

00:20Oh, man, I'm going to miss him.

00:22Oh, Matt Jones is what we used to call him.

00:25Yeah, Matthew Jones has been let go from the Miami Dolphins.

00:28He is cut.

00:31Nobody else that, uh, Curtis Bolton linebacker.

00:35I think the only name, uh, and this one didn't even happen today.

00:38The only name that really is worth mentioning, I guess, you know, I guess

00:43you can count my Carly as well, local connection, but Mike White, I know that

00:48was really the only name thus far that has been like, Oh, what's surprising

00:51that, right?

00:52Like it wasn't surprising when you figure out like how his, how it was all going

00:57for him, like, it's not that surprising.

00:58Mike White was gone.

01:00And quite frankly, Scott Thompson earned it here in the, here in the, here in the

01:04job.

01:05So yeah, nothing, nothing too crazy as of yet for the Dolphins.

01:09I think they, you know, they got some tough choices that they got to make.

01:18Well, not any chance if you had to, I know we already got rid of, uh, Ahmed, but

01:22is there any other running backs you think that are going to be getting the

01:26It's a pretty, uh, for the dolphins.

01:29Or you think we're going to run with four?

01:30The big question is going to be, who do they go with Chris Brooks or Jeff Wilson?

01:34And I would venture to guess Jeff Wilson makes more money.

01:38So I don't know if that's going to account, but because Chris Brooks was

01:41a under-aftered rookie last year.

01:42Yeah.

01:43So, but you have the, uh, but you have the, you have the, um, you know, Jeff

01:51really popular with, with, with Mike McDaniel and that's his guy.

01:55Like he scouted them.

01:58So I think that's kind of the sexiest, like who's going to get cut.

02:32So, you know, whenever he got up there, he'd be in that's an IQ play.

02:51They got rid of, I think Isaiah Mack was a guy, I think, you know,

02:54some people, you know, they got rid of, let's be clear.

02:56They got rid of camps fillers, everybody that they got rid of so far as camp

03:00fillers and some good young guy, like some solid young guys who might end

03:03up back on the practice squad.

03:04Maytree was a guy, I think a lot of people were into, uh, you know,

03:07the, the, everyone was really impressed with the undrafted cornerbacks.

03:11It had storm duck, Isaiah Johnson, tall and, um, and Maytree.

03:16That reminds me storm duck, uh, wasn't here yesterday.

03:20So I wasn't able to use it as my all rights, but my, all right.

03:22It was going to go to my cousin Mo he, uh, in Tampa while the

03:27dolphins were there, uh, to play the bucks, he was doing haircuts.

03:31He does haircuts for the players cuts, Baker Mayfield's here.

03:33I had an opportunity to cut some of the dolphins.

03:35My client was one of them.

03:37Not good.

03:39Last haircut, but a storm duck, he got to cut storm ducks hair.

03:42So I was like, Oh, he definitely only has the John man.

03:45I mean, he's been good, but I mean, I just want that name on the roster.

03:51I get, it's just like, you know what?

03:52Just, you gotta have storm duck around, uh, the great old Mark Kelly.

04:02That's, that's the money up against the cap.

04:05So defensive, a defensive line, defensive line seems like it's

04:08gotten the most access so far.

04:11So we'll keep you posted on, uh, on any of the new moves,

04:14but yeah, so far, nothing of, uh, the Mike white stature frog boy

04:19running back is the one I think we're waiting on.

04:20And then you think you kind of were hinting at that yesterday.

04:26You thought a Braxton Barris might've been, you have to understand how this

04:31works, if you understand how it works, then you understand it has

04:35nothing to do with talent.

04:39Okay.

04:40Now, nothing.

04:41I have a guy who I've used all over the offensive field, right.

04:47In the slot, in the backfield, running reverses, doing all kinds of stuff.

04:52That separates him from barriers.

04:55He's also a return guy.

05:00So it's a good returns to, and he's a rookie.

05:05So they cut somebody and saved 1.7 million.

05:47I'm just saying, I'm just asking again, I'm telling you how these things

05:51work or how these things play out.

05:54It's going to get bounced by one preseason game.

06:10The way to keep this going is have a equal amount of rookie and

06:17young player influx onto your team.

06:20That means you can accommodate all those 30 year old guys.

06:24And so, so also look at it from that standpoint.

06:28Now the thing that made burials, you know, important last year was he could

06:37come in and play some wide receiver.

06:39Yeah.

06:39I made some tough catches.

06:40Now you got Craig craft, you got Washington, you got as a comma.

06:44Yeah.

06:44But we don't know how bad Craig crafts injury is.

06:49I don't know because he was wearing a boot.

06:50Like, I don't know what's up with him.

06:52That's the other thing.

06:55That was very annoying.

06:57I don't know who's healthy, all the things that are under consideration.

07:02Sometimes you have to make a decision at wide receiver because of what

07:08you need at another position.

07:11See, now let's think of it this way.

07:14Of all these young guys, if I put Malik Washington on a practice

07:19squad, how quick is it going to get hooked, scooped up, right?

07:24Possible.

07:25If I take, and I put storm duck on the practice squad, how

07:30quick is it going to get scooped up?

07:31I just think someone's going to be intrigued seeing him on the waiver.

07:34Why would I be like, Oh, is that a prank?

07:36But, but you understand what I'm saying?

07:38Yeah, that's also another thing they have to consider.

07:41Yeah.

07:41So now what, if you have two or three of these guys, you got

07:43to put on the active roster.

07:45So you think you put the intangibles corner on there and be like, Hey,

07:48it's still intangibles corner.

07:49We haven't, you know,

07:50I'm just, I'm just saying that you have to figure out what you need more.

07:59Just to bring in another quarterback or just to bring in another D

08:02lineman, cause your D lineman are like, who knows?

08:06Yeah.

08:06D lineman don't know.

08:07And then interior cause interior office, they're going to bring in

08:11another interior defensive lineman.

08:12They're going to bring in another interior offensive line.

08:15So that's two positions already right there.

08:18That you don't have that.

08:20Now you're going to have on your roster.

08:22How does that affect all the other positions?

08:25For sure.

08:25What are you going to do at defensive back?

08:28You got three guys back there that you didn't even consider them making

08:32your team that have shown that they can be active participants on your roster.

09:12And then you say, I got to get another defensive lineman because of injuries.

09:17So now we can only keep five.

09:19You see, uh, Odell Beckham is still beefing with dudes on Twitter.

09:23Uh, well, the worst, the worst thing in the world is being in a position where

09:31you have the criticism and there's really nothing you can do about it because you

09:35can't go out and prove them wrong.

09:37Cause you're not healthy.
