Fiancé Says No More Ducks So Naturally He Becomes A Duck Dad

He knows what he's getting into. We spoke to Julie, who told us what it was like watching a duckling and tiny chick become obsessed with her fiancé — and the amazing thing that happened once the duck flew away ❤️

00:00My fiancé said, no more ducks.

00:16At the beginning of October, a lady found this tiny duck abandoned.

00:20She'd asked if anyone could help.

00:22We have raised many ducks over the years.

00:24So we immediately got in touch.

00:27This little duckling was very special.

00:30She was like this little dog that got so excited to see me.

00:35Our dog, Ben, really loved this duck as well.

00:39He would hang out with the duck and watch the duck play.

00:44The chicken came into the picture the exact way.

00:49When we introduced the chicken to the duck,

00:52they immediately formed a special bond with each other.

00:56They're little butts.

00:58They're so cute.

01:00Oh my goodness.

01:02They loved chasing me.

01:04My fiancé, Jay, absolutely fell in love with them.

01:08They brought a lot of joy and comfort into my life.

01:17As they grew older, they became more attached.

01:20They spent all their time together.

01:23Both animals were abandoned, but we never realized how strong the bond would be.

01:29Excuse me, what are you guys doing?

01:31Ben has always shown a love to them.

01:34He was kind of like an older brother, and they really made me so happy.

01:41Our plan with any wild animal is to release it once they are capable of living on their own.

01:46Oh, nice, nice, nice.

01:48The duck started to learn to fly, and the chicken would try and follow the duck.

01:53She would often fly away and come back to visit.

02:05My emotions were all over the place, and we still don't have the answers.

02:12The chicken looked lonely.

02:14I saw a chicken laying beside Ben's old soccer ball.

02:18The soccer ball looked just like the duck, and my heart broke for her.

02:23She missed the duck.

02:25We expected her to join the other chickens, but instead we noticed she started following Ben around.

02:32She had always been a kind, reliable friend.

02:35She began drinking out of Ben's water bowl.

02:38And eventually Ben started following her around too.

02:41They formed a special bond that provided her the companionship that she needed.

02:47You couldn't help but smile any time they were together.

02:51She didn't feel alone anymore.

02:53The chicken had found comfort in Ben's company.

02:58It was such an amazing feeling knowing how Ben was so caring and gentle towards the chicken.

03:03The future looks good for us all.

03:05We will continue to support and care for our animals,

03:08and allow Ben and the chicken to continue to enjoy each other's company.
