The U.S. Open is the  fourth and final Grand Slam tournament of the year and is, in many ways, the biggest. Novak Djokovic and Coco Gauff are the defending champs.

00:00The US Open is kicking off in New York, and players are competing to win a share of $75 million in cash prizes.

00:07Both the men and women's champions will pocket $3.6 million this year, a 20% increase from last year.

00:14Last year, Novak Djokovic and Coco Gauff took home the top prize and are back to defend their titles.

00:20Runners-up will receive $1.8 million, semifinalists will walk away with $1 million,

00:26and quarterfinalists will earn $530,000.

00:30Doubles champions will receive $750,000, and mixed double champions will get $200,000.
