A suspenseful Sunday afternoon matchup between the Dallas Wings and the Los Angeles Sparks seemed in the Sparks favor, with an explosive half led by former Dallas Wings guard, Odyssey Sims.

Sims signed a seven-day hardship contract with the Sparks, following her hardship release from Dallas on August 14. She finished with 26 points and 10 assists.

After a gritty, cliff-hanging comeback, however, the Wings secured the victory within final seconds of the fourth quarter, 113-110.

Los Angeles led by as many as 22 points, and led by 11 within final minutes of play.

Dallas held Los Angeles to just 18 points in the fourth, outscoring the Sparks by 22.

Arike Ogunbowale cruised away with 33 points, 7 assists, and 4 rebounds for Dallas. Natasha Howard added 30 points and 7 rebounds.

The Wings, now (7-22) following Sunday’s victory, will return home for four consecutive home games, including matchups against the Las Vegas Aces (8/27), Minnesota Lynx 8/30), Indiana Fever (9/1), and Washington Mystics (9/3).
