### Steps to Adjust Margins in Google Docs:
1. **Changing Margins via Page Setup** - Go to File and click on Page Setup. - In the pop-up, you can change each margin by clicking in the box and typing in the new measurement. - Click OK when you're done. - The default margin is set to 1 inch on each side, but you can change them by clicking "Set as default" after adjusting the margins. - Note: This will affect new documents, not existing ones.
2. **Adjusting Margins Using the Ruler** - If you don't see the ruler above and to the left of your document, click View and select Show Ruler. - Move your cursor to the end of the ruler; it will turn into an arrow. - Click and hold to change the margin. - Remember, adjusting margins affects every page of your document. You can't set different margins for different pages currently.
### Final Tips: - Adjusting margins can be very useful when you need to customize your document. - Keep in mind the changes you make will apply uniformly across the entire document.
