00:00So this is your second season as a series regular, but you're fourth with the show.
00:04What can you say about how Howard's role is expanded even further this season?
00:08Well, this season Howard continues to search for his purpose.
00:12You know, he is trying to find out what he's good at.
00:15It's always a trial and error with him.
00:18He is now inspired by the trio to start his own podcast.
00:22And he is inserting himself into the investigation in an even stronger way.
00:29So he's very involved in the investigation.
00:31And then this movie that's happening that they're making,
00:34I can't say if he's a good enough actor to be part of it or play himself,
00:38but I can say he will be part of that movie if it kills him.
00:42He is going to be involved in the production one way or another.
00:45There's a found footage episode this season,
00:48and your character is actually being the cameraman for a lot of this episode.
00:52Were you actually running the camera, or was there someone else doing that?
00:55Well, I did for one scene. I actually am the cameraman.
00:59And there's a couple scenes where the camera is on me, and I do flip the camera.
01:04But for the most part it was doing a dance with one of our incredible camera operators, Dan.
01:10What was it like shooting that found footage episode?
01:12It was so different than anything we've seen on the show before.
01:15Oh yeah, it was so wild.
01:16I mean, we would shoot every scene three or four different ways.
01:19And it was wild because the lighting was all different.
01:22You couldn't see practical lights and things like that.
01:25Or you could see practical lights, but you couldn't see lights on the set.
01:28When we were making it, I had no idea how they were going to pull it off.
01:32And then when I saw it, I was amazed.
01:34The vision of the director, the editors, the writers, it came to life in a really good way.
01:39I love the scene where you're giving this speech that's sort of defending Oliver
01:43and standing up for him in a funny way.
01:45And you and Marty are just so fun to watch together on the show.
01:48What's been the highlight of working with him and Steve and Selena
01:51throughout these past four seasons?
01:53Well, it's really amazing that they're just like such incredibly kind people
01:59that really set the tone for the whole set.
02:01So the whole set, no matter who walks on it, whether it be Meryl Streep or a day player,
02:06everybody's happy to be there and treated with kindness.
02:09I love acting with Marty because it's just like feeling like I'm carbonated.
02:14He's so effervescent, he's so inspiring, he's so fun and so supportive.
02:18He's been really kind to me, so anytime I get to be on set with him is great.
02:21And Steve and Selena are just the best.
02:24I have a ringside seat to the greatest friendship in showbiz
02:27and now the greatest new friendship in showbiz, which is the trio.
02:31So I feel really lucky.
02:32I love that.
02:34Selena has called this season the most exciting season of the show so far.
02:37How would you say season four takes the show to the next level?
02:40It completely reinvents itself again.
02:43Last season when they went in the world of theater, I didn't think they could top that.
02:48They had Meryl Streep as a guest star and how can you top that?
02:51This season is even more specific in a whole new world.
02:56The world of film is so specific and so beautifully crafted.
03:00I think people are going to be really surprised but also be really touched
03:03by that core feeling of the show,
03:06just sort of like that warm, comfy feeling of murder and friendship.
