00:00Hello, and welcome to another round of Wrestling Predictions on the Internet.

00:10Well, my name is Benjamin Jackson, and I'm joined by Alex Nelson to talk through our

00:14predictions for AEW All in London, taking place this Sunday at Wembley Stadium in, well,

00:21London.

00:22And yes, there are tickets still available at Ticketmaster, but how are you doing, Alex?

00:28Given the very, very large amount of matches that are on the card, any you're looking forward

00:33to the most this weekend?

00:35I'm doing well, thanks.

00:37Looking forward to talking some wrestling.

00:39Yeah, it's a big card.

00:41There's a lot of things going on, but in terms of highlights, I think, you know, the main

00:45events, if you can call the main events plural, MJF versus Will Ospreay, Swerve, Bryan Danielson,

00:53just to name a couple, really.

00:54Yeah, I mean, it is a huge, huge card.

00:57I mean, the event starts at around 5, 6.30 at Wembley Stadium, and it's going to go on

01:03until the late hours.

01:05So of course, we could sit here for hours going through every intrinsic detail of the

01:09storylines on offer this year, but we'd probably run as long as the event itself.

01:14Would that be fair to say, Alex?

01:16Yeah, it's going to be a late night on the night.

01:19And I think if we really got into it today, it would also be a late night today.

01:22Yeah.

01:23So a forewarning for those ardent wrestling fans out there, we are going to concentrate

01:29on four of the bigger matches that are taking place on Sunday, ones that casual wrestling

01:34fans like myself might be familiar with regarding the names involved.

01:39So before then, just a little bit of a background regarding AEW, for those aren't familiar with

01:45the company, Alex, could you give a bit of a brief description what AEW is and how it

01:51differs from, say, the WWE?

01:53Yeah, well, AEW is really the first kind of true alternative to the WWE, I'd say.

02:01There's been companies come and go before in the past that have attempted it.

02:04I mean, one called TNA is doing all right for itself at the moment, but it's never really

02:08going to challenge the top dogs of WWE.

02:12AEW formed just a few short years ago, about five years ago now.

02:16It's having a real good go at it.

02:20They did a major Wembley Stadium show last year, hoping to repeat that success again

02:23this year.

02:25In terms of what you can expect to actually see on the screen, it's still American-style

02:29pro wrestling, so lots of flamboyant characters, athleticism, storylines, although I would

02:35say AEW perhaps dials down maybe the cartoonish nature of it, I don't know if that's fair

02:42to say.

02:43Maybe slightly more focused on the sort of sporting aspect, the athleticism, and less

02:47so on the sort of soap opera dramatics.

02:51Yeah, because I remember Paul Triple H Levesque, when he was describing the new kind of take

02:57that the WWE are having, he referred to it as, our TV show is basically a TV program

03:05about sport.

03:07I would imagine then, in regards to AEW, that it is just legitimately a sporting program

03:13itself, rather than a TV show about a sport?

03:17Yeah, I mean of course there's still, you know, it's sillier moments, the kind of campiness

03:23of it all.

03:24It's still professional wrestling at the end of the day, you know, there's only so seriously

03:29you can take it.

03:30But yeah, in comparison to WWE, I would say it's slightly more realistic perhaps, just

03:37yeah, more sort of framed more as a sport than a sort of TV show, yeah.

03:43Definitely, so you wouldn't be seeing any things like a Katie Vick angle or anything

03:48like that?

03:49I don't know, AEW, they have their moments, who knows, but yeah, I think that's sort of

03:56the appeal of the alternativeness of it, is that it's more sort of focused on the in-ring

04:01action.

04:02And for those that want to watch the pay-per-view live, can I call it a pay-per-view?

04:07Because I know the WWE call it a premium live event, we'll call it a pay-per-view to make

04:12it simple.

04:13That will be broadcast on Triller, formerly known as Fight TV, I believe the price is

04:18about £19.50, or if you're a little bit of a cheapskate or you've already got plans for

04:25your bank holiday weekend this August, it is going to be having a on-call presentation

04:30on ITV4 on August the 29th from 9pm till 2am, I know it's a long card, but it's not that

04:39long.

04:40So without further ado, Alex, shall we get kicking into some of the matches on offer?

04:45And I think we would be remiss not to start with what is the main event, the AEW Championship

04:52held by Swerve Strickland against a man that some WWE fans might recall with his Yes Chance,

05:02Bryan Danielson, otherwise known as Daniel Bryan in the WWE.

05:07It's not just a case of the title being on the line, though, is it?

05:11Daniel Bryan has come out and said, Bryan Danielson, sorry, takes a while to get used

05:16to that, do you not think?

05:17Yeah, easily done.

05:18Yeah.

05:19Bryan Danielson's declared that he will put his career on the line this weekend at Wembley

05:27Stadium.

05:28So effectively, it is a championship versus a career, Swerve Strickland versus Bryan Danielson.

05:36Just going into this one, it's been quite the kind of build up since Danielson won the

05:42Owen Hart Tournament, the men's bracket of the Owen Hart Tournament.

05:46So that gave him virtue to challenge.

05:49But now there's just that extra element on the line, isn't there, that he's putting his

05:53career at stake?

05:54Yeah, well, in wrestling terms, certainly he's getting on a bit.

05:59I think he's in his early 40s now and he's got a young family to look after.

06:04It was always known that after this year, he was going to sort of revert to a more part

06:08time schedule, perhaps not wrestle quite as regularly as he once did.

06:14But yeah, a few weeks ago, he came out and he said that, no, he won't even be part time

06:18if he loses this match.

06:19That's going to be it.

06:21And with that sort of real life knowledge playing into it, I think they've done a good

06:27job of making us believe that this could be the final match of Bryan Danielson's career.

06:34It's hard to call.

06:36I mean, it would be a big moment and certainly Wembley Stadium is a place to do it in front

06:41of a hot crowd.

06:44Can I see Swerve Strickland being the person to retire him?

06:49Possibly not.

06:50But then again, I don't really know if Danielson is right to lead the company.

06:56He doesn't need the title.

06:58No.

06:59Swerve is a much younger, you know, someone who needs it a bit more and can be a bit more

07:06active with it, particularly if Danielson is going part time.

07:09So it's interesting.

07:10I'm not 100% sure how to call this one.

07:13Do you think that perhaps the change, because originally I always thought Wembley Stadium,

07:19we're going to talk about this chap in the next video, Will Ospreay, formerly a sort

07:24of Essex, if you know, you know.

07:27I thought that this whole event would be planned around a bit of a crowning, a homecoming for

07:34Will Ospreay.

07:35And yet they had that title match on an episode of Dynamite, evidently Swerve won.

07:41Do you think it's an about change?

07:43Because there might have been some fans out there predicting this result.

07:47Do you think it was maybe a feud that was made or changed on the fly, perhaps, Alex?

07:54Yeah, that again, that just makes me think that maybe Danielson is retiring if, you know,

08:01they're sort of giving him more focus than the, you know, Ospreay's new to the company.

08:05This will be his first Wembley as a full time employee under the AEW banner.

08:10Sure.

08:11So the fact that, you know, the world title match isn't with him and is with Danielson

08:16instead.

08:17Could it be because there's that big moment coming where he, you know, says goodbye to

08:22everyone and that's it?

08:24Possibly.

08:25There's all sorts of real life things playing into it and storyline.

08:28It's hard to work out what's blurred and what's real.

08:31But yeah, there is a phrase that wrestlers hate us fans using, but I have to use it on

08:37this occasion called kayfabe.

08:39It's the idea of keeping within the character, keeping within the storylines.

08:43But AEW's got a bit of a habit kind of blurring those lines between what's real and

08:50what's not.

08:51I'm with you on this one.

08:52It is kind of hard to give a prediction, but if I was, if I had to do it and of course

09:01we have to do it, otherwise why else would people be watching us?

09:05If last All In in London was say the first Star Wars in the trilogy, A New Hope, maybe

09:16this time round we're going to the Empire Strikes Back and we get a kind of dour ending

09:20for Wembley.

09:21I mean, with all respects to Brian, what better place could you retire than in front of a

09:31sold out Wembley Stadium and doing the arbitrary, leaving your boots in the middle of the ring

09:36to a sold out, you know, a bunch of people in London.

09:40So if he is going to go out and I think predicting how I'm predicting, you know, the match with

09:48Will Ospreay and MGF, which we're going to go to, I hate to say it, Alex, I think this

09:53might be the end of the American Dragon.

09:56I think if I had to, if I had to put a name down and say who's going to win, I think yes,

10:02Werv could, could retire Danielson.

10:06I don't know if I want him to, I mean, I don't want him to, I love Danielson, but in terms

10:10of if he's the right person to again, not so sure, but yeah, you do have to remember

10:15that Danielson has retired before, so resting retirement don't often stick.

10:20So we'll see.

10:21And if anybody wants to see if what Alex has said is real, all I have to say is Google

10:27Terry Funk, God rest his soul.

10:30That man retired more times than I think he came back.

10:33So is it a swerve victory?

10:38We're both kind of agreeing on with this prediction.

10:40Yeah, I think, I don't like it, but I'm going to have to go with swerve.

10:45All right, then.

10:47We are predicting Daniel Bryan, Bryan Danielson.

10:51One day I'll remember that name correctly.
