00:00Hello everyone, Paul Branson Reviews and much more.

00:06I do foods and a whole bunch of other things, tours, events, but today I'm talking about

00:11a movie on Prime.

00:12When I was searching Prime to look for something, I was looking more for an action comedy.

00:19I saw this poster, Jackpot, and I thought, as soon as I looked at the poster, I thought

00:23it was a romance, you know, a romance movie, a romance comedy.

00:28I wasn't in the mood for that, but this was a brand new movie that literally just came

00:34out, and I was like, Jackpot, hmm, what an interesting name.

00:38So I looked it up, and I didn't recognize the woman in the poster, but I recognized

00:43the man.

00:44He's a wrestler, a WWF wrestler, and I was like, hmm, or WWE, as they say.

00:53I'm not sure.

00:54I don't really watch wrestling as much as I used to.

00:57I used to watch it a lot in the 80's, so I'm not caught up in new wrestlers, but he's

01:02a wrestler, and I think he wants to retire from wrestling in 2025.

01:08That's what I kind of read about him, and he's a good actor.

01:12I've seen him in a few other movies that I have somewhat enjoyed, and I mean somewhat.

01:17I liked him, but I might not have liked the story, and I think I've done a few reviews

01:22with him in certain movies, but he was really good in this, and it's an action comedy.

01:30Jackpot, an action comedy.

01:32Didn't watch the trailer, but I did not recognize the woman, but I watched the movie.

01:37I laughed.

01:38I had a good time, filled with action, lots of fun, very entertaining, and some interesting

01:44cameo people showed up in the movie as well.

01:47It looks like they spent good money on this movie.

01:52It was a really well done, fun movie, and it was almost two hours long.

01:59Just the comedy was funny and entertaining.

02:03It's one of those silly movies, you know, silly movies that's not meant to take seriously.

02:08If you take this movie seriously, you're not really going to enjoy it, and the person who

02:13directed it was Paul Figg, and he's a hit and miss with me.

02:17Sometimes I really like his movies, and sometimes I don't.

02:21But I think this is the best movie he's directed.

02:24Now I didn't look up to Ryder, but Ryder did an amazing job, and the center photography

02:30and the action sequences were fantastic, and there was a lot.

02:36It's filled with action, as I said.

02:38Now I'm going to get into the woman.

02:40Now this woman was a rapper on YouTube, and one of her songs became very popular in 2012,

02:47so she did an album in 2014.

02:50Then she did an MTV comedy series that became very popular, and I believe she won a Golden

02:57Globe Award for that.

02:59After that she started doing movies.

03:01I don't think I've seen her in anything before.

03:04She's very funny, and she's very good.

03:08Her real name I can't quite remember, but people call her Aquafina.

03:13Hope that's not an actual swear word, because I could be saying it wrong.

03:18Aquafina, I think her real name is Norna something, but I'll put the names at the back

03:28because I have a pronunciation problem.

03:31But she's fantastic, and those two, they really work well together.

03:36Now what this movie was about, they have a draw every year.

03:41I believe it's in California.

03:42I just watched the movie, I should know.

03:45In California they have this draw, and if you win, you have to now survive, and I mean

03:52survive, anyone has the right to kill you and take your prize.

03:59So if you win, you have to survive till nightfall.

04:06If you survive till nightfall, you have won the money.

04:10Now if anyone kills you, they can take the prize.

04:14Now the man who is in this, who's the wrestler, he is a protector.

04:23He can protect you, and he gets some of the winnings, of course, for that.

04:28Other than that, I don't want to say too much.

04:30It kind of speaks for itself, but it does get in character development in a funny way

04:35at the beginning of the film, and then it gets a little entertaining, and well right

04:41in the beginning it gets entertaining, don't get me wrong, and then hook you right away

04:44in this.

04:45But it only has a 5.8 out of 10 on IMBD, and I was like, really?

04:50I think that will go up, and then a 39% in Rotten Tomatoes, and I'm like, really?

04:56This is one of those silly fun movies that's not meant to be taken seriously.

05:00I know I've already said that, but if you want to take this movie seriously, you're

05:04not going to have fun with it.

05:06This is just a popcorn fun movie, funny and entertaining, that's it, that there's nothing

05:13to it, and you will really enjoy it.

05:15It's silly, silly fun, and I think they could make more movies like this with other winners

05:21who win.

05:22So if you enter this draw, and you win, you better run, and run for your life.

05:29Fun movie, really well put together, I give this movie a 7 out of 10.

05:34I really enjoyed it, maybe even higher.

05:37This movie is just not meant to be taken seriously.

05:40It's a fun, entertaining movie, check it out, it's a prime original, you'll have fun with

05:46it.

05:47Sit down, laugh like I did, choke on your popcorn that had almost happened to me.

05:53Enjoy it everyone, very entertaining, and some very interesting cameos in this.
