00:16That is the power of music.
00:20So what do you say?
00:21Let's go to Sesame Street and listen to some music.
00:24Ah!
00:25Ah!
00:26Ah!
00:27I should have seen that coming.
00:29Ah!
00:30Ooh.
00:31Ooh.
00:32Yeah.
00:34Yeah.
00:35Sunny day, sweeping the clouds away.
00:41On my way to where the air is sweet.
00:46Where the air is sweet.
00:49Can you tell me how to get, how to get to Sesame Street?
00:53Go, go, go, go, how to get to Sesame Street.
00:56Go, go, go, go, Sesame Street.
01:00Jump.
01:05Oh, boy.
01:06That's not right.
01:08Oh, hi there.
01:09Welcome to Sesame Street.
01:11Oh, guess what?
01:12Elmo is learning how to play Elmo's favorite song
01:15on the piano.
01:17Twinkle, twinkle, little star.
01:20Twinkle, twinkle, little star?
01:22That's my favorite song, too.
01:24Oh, hi, Telly.
01:25Hey.
01:26Maybe Elmo and Telly could play it together.
01:29All right.
01:30Let's make some music.
01:31OK.
01:32Ha, ha.
01:33Twinkle, twinkle, little star.
01:36Oh, that's not right.
01:39Boy.
01:40Twinkle, twinkle is a really hard song to play.
01:43I'll say.
01:44I keep making mistakes.
01:45Yeah, Elmo, too.
01:47I better practice some more.
01:49Yeah, Elmo, too.
01:50Twinkle, twinkle, little star.
01:55Boy.
01:56OK.
01:57Elmo's going to try again.
01:58Oh, hold on.
01:59Hold on.
02:02OK.
02:04Twinkle, twinkle, little star.
02:08Oh, boy.
02:10Elmo practiced and practiced, and Elmo still
02:12can't play Twinkle, Twinkle.
02:14That's it.
02:15Elmo gives up.
02:17Oh.
02:18Oh.
02:19Oh.
02:20Don't give up, kid.
02:21Oh, who are you?
02:22Oh, I'm Twinkle, Twinkle.
02:24Twinkle, Twinkle?
02:25Yeah, you know, the star from the song.
02:28Oh, Twinkle, Twinkle, little star.
02:31Oh, is Mr. Twinkle, Twinkle OK?
02:33Oh, well, I will be if you don't give up.
02:36See, every time a kid gives up trying
02:38to play Twinkle, Twinkle, little star, I lose my Twinkle,
02:42and I fall out of the sky.
02:44Elmo didn't know that.
02:46Elmo didn't mean to make Mr. Twinkle, Twinkle lose his
02:49Twinkle.
02:50I forgot about it, Elmo.
02:52But you got to keep trying to learn to play my song.
02:55It has a beautiful melody.
02:58Come on, sing it with me.
03:00You mean Elmo gets to sing with Twinkle, Twinkle, little star?
03:05Sure, why not?
03:06Come on.
03:07Oh, cool.
03:08Twinkle, twinkle, little star.
03:10How I wonder what you are.
03:12Up above the world so high, like a diamond in the sky.
03:17Twinkle, twinkle, little star.
03:20How I wonder what you are.
03:23See?
03:24Now let's hear you play that beautiful melody on the piano.
03:27Do it for Twinkle, Twinkle.
03:30OK, Mr. Twinkle, Twinkle.
03:37Oh, boy.
03:38That's not the melody.
03:40Now, Elmo gives up.
03:41No, no, no, no, no, no.
03:42You can't give up, kid.
03:44See, if you give up, I'll never get my Twinkle back.
03:47And I'll never get to be up above the world so high, like a
03:51diamond in the sky again.
03:55But how is Elmo going to learn to play the song?
03:58Never fear, little Elmo.
04:00I, Grover, the music monster, will teach you how to play
04:05Twinkle, Twinkle, little star.
04:08Say, is that a?
04:10It is.
04:11Love your song.
04:12Big hit in my household.
04:14Oh, thank you.
04:15Thank you very much.
04:16Yeah, it's huge.
04:17Oh, can Grover, the music monster, really teach Elmo how
04:21to play it on the piano?
04:22Yes, I can, with my patented feel the music method.
04:27Feel the music?
04:28Feel the music, yes.
04:29The first step is for everyone to step away from the piano.
04:34Oh, OK.
04:36Far away.
04:37Oh, far away.
04:38Oh.
04:39Try a little bit farther, farther.
04:44Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
04:45Perfect.
04:46Now, the next thing you do is feel the music.
04:50Is this guy for real?
04:53Music has a rhythm.
04:54Music has a beat.
04:55You can feel it in your fur as you're walking down the street.
04:57You can feel it in your head.
04:59You can feel it in your toes.
05:00You can feel it in your elbows.
05:01You can feel it in your nose.
05:02Music has a rhythm.
05:03Music has a beat.
05:04You can feel it in your fur as you're walking down the street.
05:07Say, twinkle, twinkle, little star, how I wonder what you are.
05:12Up above the world so high, like a diamond in the sky.
05:17Twinkle, twinkle, little star, how I wonder what you are.
05:22Yeah, play.
05:23Elmo feels the rhythm.
05:25Oh, yeah.
05:26Yo, Skye, here I come.
05:32Twinkle, twinkle, little star.
05:36How I wonder what you are.
05:41Oh, Elmo still can't play the song.
05:44OK, what is Elmo doing wrong, Music Master Grover?
05:49I have no idea, Elmo.
05:50You see, I only feel the music.
05:52I do not play it.
05:53Perhaps you should try practicing.
05:55Well, I am off to teach my feel the music method to the Cleveland Orchestra now.
06:00Taxi!
06:02What?
06:08Isn't that?
06:10That's them.
06:11Twinkle, twinkle, little star.
06:15I thought you'd be twinklier.
06:18Yeah, well, I'll get my twinkle back as soon as Elmo learns to play my song on the piano.
06:23No pressure, Elmo.
06:25Well, you know I can help with that.
06:27What?
06:28Yeah, I just learned a new magic piano playing spell.
06:31Really?
06:32Yep.
06:33Oh, cool.
06:34It goes like this.
06:36Eye of newt and tongue of flea.

07:37What happened, Abby?
07:39Elmo can't play twinkle, twinkle anymore.
07:42Boy, Elmo's making more mistakes than before.
07:45Oh, sorry, Elmo.
07:47Sorry, twinkle, twinkle.
07:49I guess the magic just wore off.
07:51It happens.
07:52Yeah.
07:53Well, I better go practice that spell some more.
07:57Zippity zap.

08:19Whoa, that means a lot coming from you, twinkle, twinkle.
08:23Well, Telly didn't make any mistakes playing the music.
08:27How did Telly do that?
08:29Just one word, Elmo.
08:31Practice.
08:32Yeah, Elmo practiced and practiced and practiced.
08:37Yeah, Elmo practiced and practiced
08:39and Elmo didn't learn the song.
08:41Well, not yet, but you got to keep practicing, Elmo.

08:49You can't give up.
08:51Well, OK, Telly.
08:53OK.
08:54Elmo's going to practice and Elmo's not
08:56going to stop until Elmo learns to play the song.
09:00Suddenly, I'm feeling hopeful.
09:03Ah, good luck, Elmo.
09:05I'm going to go home and play this song for my mama.
