00:19fame telling the outlet I didn't realize that child stardom could be traumatic and it isn't

00:26traumatic for everyone, but for me it was.

00:29Demi, who started her career on Barney in 2002, then specifically mentions the Disney

00:35Channel franchise Camp Rock and how she doesn't remember much after the first movie due to

00:41hitting quote the threshold of what I could withstand emotionally and physically.

00:47While looking back at her time at Disney, a 31 year old feels sadness due to how she

00:52treated the crew quote I think about people in the wardrobe department on my TV show because

00:57I'd go in there in bad moods all the time and I worry about guest stars that came on

01:03or the other actors or the people during Camp Rock 2.

01:07The singer, who starred on Disney's Sonny with a Chance, Camp Rock and Princess Protection

01:12program goes on to admit she was envious of the Nickelodeon stars since they were allowed

01:17to be edgier and not placed on a pedestal.

01:21At Disney, you became this instant role model whether you liked it or not, and because Disney

01:26Channel was so big at the time, there was also the unspoken pressure that if you did

01:31make a mistake, you knew that there were millions of people just waiting to take your spot.

01:36But the fame didn't just affect her professional life, it also affected her relationship with

01:41her parents, as she notes being the quote breadwinner in her family as a child.

01:47I mean, they tried to ground me, but I was an egotistical child star, and I thought I

01:52was on top of the world.

01:54I'd be like, but I pay the bills, and what do you say to that?

01:58And while she was incredibly open during this interview, Demi gets even more candid in her
