Bob Holder is the world's oldest competing cowboy. At 94 years of age, he was honoured at one of Australia’s most beloved rodeos at Mt. Isa Mines, and still had a few tips and tricks to share for young up and comers.

A Cootamundja local, Bob Holder makes the 2,200 kilometre journey to the Mount Isa Rodeo every year,

but this year was special.

He was honoured with an exclusive over 90s belt buckle,

a tribute to his legacy that inspires generations of riders across the country.

Today it's been so lovely that we can honour Bob Holder, who is our oldest competitor at 93 years,

and he's a true gentleman of the sport.

With a 78-year career under his belt, the 93-year-old reveals how he's stayed so active for so long.

At the event, Mr Holder rode with the youngest roping competitor,

nine-year-old Tate Smith from Tamworth, New South Wales.

With an 84-year age gap between them, they raced down the arena, ropes in hand,
