In 1973 Toni Brown and Terry Garthwaite members of the band Joy of Cooking left California and took a side-trip to Tennesse where in Nashville with some of the best known local session musicians they recorded their first LP "Cross-Country", where they merged West Coast folk rock with Nashville country nuances.
