00:48Markovic though, he's been the subject of gym stories

00:53in boxing in Sydney for quite some time

00:56and it's this sort of ferocity that has caused those tales.

01:08And you can see the footwork of Liava'a at this early stage.

01:13He has some class about him and he goes strongly to the body

01:17and over the top as well.

01:19Moves nicely does the Kiwi as Markovic produces a big right hand over the top.

01:25It got around the guard of Liava'a just for a moment as he was against the ropes.

01:30He comes back with quality does the Kiwi.

01:34This is the fight I was most looking forward to Ben.

01:37It's high quality at this stage.

01:40Both beaten just once in their relatively young careers

01:47and both fighters with a lot of promise.

01:53Leaps out Liava'a, takes that right hand though from Markovic

01:58and jabbing away is the New Zealander again.

02:23Liava'a gets away to his left as Markovic was sitting down on body shots again.

02:32and uppercut from Liava'a gets through and he jabs nicely too.

04:12A decent performance from South against Manly, I would have thought, despite the result.

04:15Your thoughts on what transpired particularly with regard to your own performance?

04:18Yeah, mate, look, I would take a lot of confidence out of round one.

04:21It's a big stage we had to play on in Vegas.

04:24So we set a standard for where we want to be.

04:27And I guess now it's just about learning from our mistakes and taking our lessons.

04:32But other than that, Manly are very good.

04:34It's good to see Luke Brooks settle in.

04:46Really good opening rounds.

04:49The Kiwi clearly has some class about him.

04:53What do you want to see from Marković here in round number two, Harry Garcite?

04:56My understanding is speeding up the feet just a touch.

04:59Using that distance, a little bit quicker feet.

05:02Sort of walking up at the moment, popping up.

05:05No real urgency.

05:09Long arms too, Lievaa.

05:11He throws from all sorts of angles.

05:13Body shots of beauty from Marković.

05:15He turns those shots around too with his right hand.

05:18But Lievaa wears them well, turns around.

05:22But he can't take too many of those over the top from the right hand of Marković, surely.
