00:00Hi kids! Today we will learn some of the opposite words. So let's start.
00:09Kids, here we have two pictures. We have to find the differences in two pictures.
00:17This picture shows the scene of night time, as we can see moon in the sky.
00:24And the other picture shows the scene of day time, as we have sun in the sky.
00:33So the first scene is of night time, and the other scene is of day time.
00:41And the second scene is opposite to the first one.
00:46In the first picture, the boy is sleeping.
00:51On the opposite, in the other picture, the boy is awake and is reading a book.
00:58In the first picture, the floor is clean.
01:02And in the other picture, the floor is dirty, as bits of paper are scattered.
01:09In the first picture, there is a big ball in the room.
01:13But in the second picture, there is instead a small ball in the room.
01:19In the first picture, there is a bottle full of water lying on the table.
01:25And in the second picture, there is an empty bottle in the room.
01:30So kids, we observed a lot of differences between the two pictures.
01:37The first one shows day time, and the second one shows night time.
01:44In the first picture, the boy is sleeping.
01:48And in the other picture, the boy is awake.
01:52In the first picture, the ball is very big.
01:56And in the other picture, the ball is very small.
02:00In one picture, there is an empty bottle.
02:03And in the other picture, there is a full bottle.
02:08So kids, these words are called opposite words.
02:13Let's learn some more examples of opposite words.
02:20Happy. What will be the opposite of happy?
02:25It will be sad.
02:28Stop. What will be the opposite of stop?
02:33It will be start.
02:36Now, let's learn some opposites in a quick manner.
02:41Up, down. Far, near. Young, old. Heavy, light.
02:51In, out. Wet, dry. Tall, short. Black, white. Tight, loose. Fat, thin. Active, lazy. Best, worst.
03:11Bitter, sweet. Blunt, sharp. Cheap, expensive. Dangerous, safe.
03:22So kids, these are some of the opposite words.
03:26Now, we have to change the sentences using the opposite words.
03:32He is very tall.
03:35The opposite of this sentence would be, he is very short.
03:41The old man is very fat.
03:45The opposite of this sentence would be, the young man is very thin.
03:51Mac is wearing wet clothes.
03:55The opposite of this sentence would be, Mac is wearing dry clothes.
04:01Now here, we have some pictures with blanks describing the picture, and we have to fill those blanks with opposites.

04:13And here, the bird is out of the cage.
04:18This is a glass full of water.
04:22And this is an empty glass.
04:27This is a heavy object.
