00:24So, we're underway here in Bolton.

00:31The first fight of the night is underway.

00:33A four-round featherweight clash, debutant Imad Nasib

00:36takes on Jake Pollard, veteran fighter really,

00:39in his 55th fight of his career.

00:42Speaking with Imad earlier, he said this is the third time he's tried to make his pro debut.

00:46It's the third time lucky, third time's the charm.

00:49After fracturing an orbital bone earlier this year,

00:53and before that, he was due to make his debut two years ago,

00:57and that was stifled at the start of the pandemic.

01:00But he's here tonight against Jake Pollard.

01:02He's very keen to show what he can do and let his hands go early.

01:08Tough opposition in front of him.

01:09He's a fighter that's a losing record in a 55-fight career,

01:14but there's not many stoppages against his name there.

01:16And that's the kind of fight that you need to introduce yourself onto the scene and look good in.

01:21So far, Nasib has started by doing just that.

01:32Pollard just allowing his man to walk around the ring and let him showcase what he can do,

01:37but not giving him too much.

01:39It's a good set of hands, though, on Nasib.

01:42You can tell if you have a look at his social media,

01:44there's clips on there from his two-times national championship fights.

01:48He's happy to let his hands go, he's happy to show.

01:50I was speaking to him earlier on and he was saying he wants to get to the top quickly,

01:53he wants to be fighting regularly.

01:56He's here to make a statement tonight.

01:57It's the first time he's fighting as a pro,

01:59and no matter how much amateur experience you've got,

02:02there's going to be adrenaline in there that just needs to press in,

02:06and he's walking through.

02:07And he started really well here,

02:10although Pollard not giving him too much time to go and caught him with a good left hand there, Pollard.

02:16Just to remind him, you don't get everything your own way,

02:19even if you are a two-time national champion in your debut.

02:21But quickly fired back with a one-two from Nasib,

02:25who follows it up with some good hands of his own, forcing Pollard to fight back.

02:33There's a good crowd here as well for Nasib,

02:37who's very keen to make the point earlier.

02:39I sell loads of tickets, I sell really good tickets,

02:41and have a look at my crowd, and true to his word,

02:43not only are they hearing number, they're hearing volume as well.

02:47The southpaw stance this time, he switches back and forth,

02:51Nasib just lands that straight left down the pipe there,

02:54and again, going upstairs and downstairs,

02:57but it does open up as he goes downstairs,

02:59just left his chin a little open there,

03:01Pollard was able to land on him and get straight back out.

03:07Seen a lot in his 55 fight career,

03:10has Jake Pollard, 57 fight career, if I'm correct.

03:16And he did beat a debutant earlier this year, Louis Smithson.

03:23To Pollard, albeit that was a result that was vindicated,

03:27rather than not debutant,

03:29and the first round comes to an end, it's a good first round

03:32of what looks to be a promising career for him and Nasib.

03:36And that's the first round, you've done your first ring walk,

03:39you've done your first round now as a pro,

03:41you can begin to settle into this a little bit more.

03:44Of course, we're building up to a huge night here in Bolton,

03:47topped by European title action,

03:49as Chloe Watson goes for that EBU flyweight title

03:52against the highly experienced French Justine Lallemand.

03:58She's fought for this very same belt in Italy previously,

04:01and the result that she may feel a little hard done by

04:05against an Italian opposition in Italy,

04:08didn't get the decision that night,

04:10but she's coming to claim the belt tonight

04:13against Chloe Watson, though, who has made such strides.

04:16Highly decorated, of course, as an amateur.

04:21But the first fight here still to digest.

04:33Seems noticeably calmer now, Nasib,

04:35as he just picks his shots nicely and moves.

04:38He doesn't stay too still, happy to let the uppercut go with both hands.

04:42Now he's just turning the tempo up a little bit,

04:44and his fans are appreciating that, Nasib.

04:46Both hands landing, good start to this second round by the debutant.

05:01Up next on the bill tonight,

05:03bantamweight clash.

05:05Samir Ahtab is a sparring partner of Imad's.

05:09It'll be Samir's fifth fight,

05:11and he's been passing on some experience to the youngster.

05:19For a pro debut so far, so good.

05:21Him and his coach, Alex Matvienko,

05:25will be happy with this as he moves around the ring.

05:28And just allows Pollard to throw and miss,

05:32and just stays at range when he needs to.

05:34He's happy to come in close, happy to trade.

05:36Clearly feels he's got the power advantage,

05:38and again, that's a two-and-three-piece go.

05:41Upstairs and downstairs, Pollard swinging and missing.

05:44This is confident stuff from a debutant.

05:46He's enjoying his time out there, Imad Nasib.

05:53And even with that amateur experience,

05:55and even with the projected debut fights come and go,

05:59an injury like a fractured orbital bone,

06:02you'd be forgiven for that dent in your confidence,

06:04but it's clearly not affecting him here tonight.

06:06He's going up and down, he's bringing his hands up and down,

06:09he's happy in there.

06:10If he can back up the confidence out of the ring

06:12with performances like this,

06:14he'll be well on the path that he chooses to be.

06:26Pollard raises his hands as if to say come on,

06:29but I don't think Nasib really needs much more of an invitation.

06:40Happy to stand and trade, and his fans are loving this.

06:43They're hearing great voice tonight.

06:49And Nasib just keeps circling to his left.

06:56Got a nice lead, Jad, just to keep his man at bay.

07:05Tate Pollard not having much success at all yet.

07:08Maybe had a little bit in the first round as adrenaline and nerves

07:12may have crept into Nasib's game slightly,

07:16but not in this second round.

07:18He's really getting the chance to showcase his abilities here.

07:21He looks good.

07:25Even when the hard shot does get through,

07:27as it did at the end there.

07:29Nothing phasing the young man from Warrington

07:32in his pro debut tonight.

07:43Pollard's coach saying he's moving like a southpaw,

07:46you've got to stop him stepping to his left.

07:50But you just get the impression if Nasib can do that again

07:54in the third and ultimately the fourth round,

07:58and he can stay unchallenged as he moves like that,

08:01there won't be too much to give him a problem

08:04in the second half of this fight.

08:08Nathan Gorman, as mentioned, up against Bo Dan Myronetz

08:11later on tonight.

08:12Huge heavyweight clash.

08:13Myronetz, of course, upset the apple cart against Kash Ali

08:22who himself has a bit of a point to prove.

08:52where he's letting his hands go

08:53and he doesn't take many backward steps.

08:55But when you do that, as Pollard let him know there,

08:59susceptible you are to the odd shot that comes over the top.

09:03Pollard landed a pretty good left hook there.

09:09It's a good test, Pollard,

09:10because he doesn't stop coming forward.

09:12He's had this kind of pressure fighter before.

09:15He's not fazed by anything.

09:17He keeps stepping forward,

09:18giving Nasib reason to stay on the game plan.

09:40It's good performances from Nasib.

09:41It's exactly what you would want from your debut.

09:44As he lets both hands go,

09:45his coach will have told him calm down a little bit

09:47after that first round.

09:48Maybe a little bit got through.

09:50But the shots that are getting through now,

09:52if you can call them getting through,

09:54are over the top.

09:55They're glancing.

09:56They're not really doing much damage.

09:59They're being capitalized on by a very confident Nasib.

10:03They've got a heavy, heavy left hand there.

10:05They've just got a little excited.

10:11Stick to the basics.

10:15Nasib is working really well for him,

10:17but occasionally does receive one back from Pollard.

11:00Swing and a miss from Jake Pollard as the clapper goes and the round begins to come

11:24It's another comfortable one for Nasib, the fight's going exactly as he would have hoped.

11:31Good rounds, good experience.

11:39Just about punch perfect from a debut perspective from Nasib so far.

11:43Up next a fighter he knows well, Samir Aftab, bantamweight, fight six rounder is up next.

11:50There's some great fights in between now and tonight's main event though.

11:55Isaac Lowe as mentioned before, he's up, wanted of course to have been headlining tonight,

12:01but he's up against Brazilian Ronates, Rodrigo, Cody Smith, the self-proclaimed Yorkshire

12:07Canelo, and what a character he is.

12:11He's back in the featherweight division and then a potential firecracker goes off between

12:18James Moorcroft and Matthew Rennie ahead of Channel 5 action tonight.

12:25But for Matt Nasib, it's the final round of his first fight as a professional.

12:36Takes up where he left off.

12:49Gernie Moos, Moos around the ring comfortably Nasib, stepping to his left.

12:55Not taking any risks, doesn't need to.

13:03Now just happy to let those hands go and land as much as he can and show these fans

13:09what he can do.

13:11The odd one that does come back from Pollard doesn't really get close to Nasib, who's happy

13:16then to move him back around and land at will, it's a good debut.

13:30He ties his man up against the ropes there, these are one of the tricks you're gonna pick

13:35up Nasib as your career goes on, they won't all be tests like this one.

13:44He's just enjoying himself out there now, and by the sounds of things, so are his fans.

14:01It's a good right hand though, landed by Pollard there, he sort of swung it up, almost to taunt

14:06his man a little bit.

14:07Landed through but then followed up with quite a reckless right hand that almost threw him

14:12off balance Pollard.

14:16Just a loud Nasib, second follow up that didn't really have any form of control in it, just

14:22a loud Nasib.

14:26So then recalibrate and again just show a little bit of strength by tying his man up

14:29and showing that there's a little bit more in his arsenal than just hands down and moving,

14:34then straight back onto his toes.

14:49Some other swing and a miss from Pollard as Nasib stays on his toes, moves around the

15:18for the final round of the debuts, fans have enjoyed this, they know what's coming.

15:21Oh but Pollard was able just to close the round out with a little bit of spite in those

15:27last few punches, it won't be enough of course to sway any decision.

15:34Both teams show respect to one another.

15:39And we are here in the build up to live European title action on Channel 5 tonight, as Chloe

15:46Watson takes on dangerous French challenger Justine Lallemonde, Nathan Gorman against

15:51Bo Dan Myronetz is on before that.

15:55And after that is one of the hottest races prospects, I've worked in boxing for a long

15:58time but Dan Toward is one name that I have heard so much about and tonight he makes his

16:05debut on what looks to be a cracking end of the year card here in Bolton.

16:18And as we await the decision coming through, Imad Nasib will have his hand raised after

16:23a successful debut performance here in Bolton.

16:41And we look like we're about ready to get a decision from Paul Booth.
