Carles Puigdemont, the Catalan separatist leader, has evaded Spanish police and is now back in either France or Belgium, according to his lawyer.

00:21That means that he is either back in his office in South-France,
00:25or back in his office and home in Brussels, Waterloo.
00:48In 2017, he evaded authorities by sneaking out of Spain and found refuge in Belgium,
00:54before becoming a member of the European Parliament in 2019.
