00:00Making their joint debut at a raucous rally in Pennsylvania, Kamala Harris introduced

00:05her vice-presidential pick, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.

00:10Highlighting his political record, she also hailed his background as a former teacher,

00:14a football coach and Army National Guard veteran, calling the 60-year-old a patriot.

00:20The kind of coach, because he's the kind of person who makes people feel like they belong

00:28and then inspires them to dream big.

00:31And that's the kind of vice-president he will be.

00:35Thanking Harris for his selection, Walz said he couldn't be prouder to be on this ticket

00:39and wasted no time going after their Republican opponents.

00:43Trump weakens our economy to strengthen his own hand.

00:49He mocks our laws.

00:51He sows chaos and division.

00:55And that's to say nothing of his record as president.

00:57Violent crime was up under Donald Trump.

01:01That's not even counting the crimes he committed.

01:03As a governor, Walz has backed progressive policies, including expanded paid worker leave

01:08and free school meals, and he was the first governor nationwide to sign a law enshrining

01:14abortion as a state right.

01:16His Republican counterpart, however, has publicly blasted his legislative background.

01:21Tim Walz's record is a joke.

01:24He's been one of the most far-left radicals in the entire United States government at

01:29any level.

01:30Following a scramble to unify Democrats and select a running mate after President Biden

01:35quit the race, Harris' choice of Walz could shore up Midwestern appeal in key swing states

01:40like Wisconsin and Michigan, which helped turn the tide for Trump in 2016.

01:46This week, we'll see team Harris-Walz start a tour of battleground states, including Arizona

01:51and Nevada.
