00:06Today we are looking at the women's 200m final at the Olympic Games in Paris.

00:24Sadly this season Elaine was not able to qualify herself for the Olympic Games due to a foot

00:28injury at the Grand Prix in New York.

00:30Last year at the World Championships Srivika Jackson dominated the 200m race in 21.41

00:35seconds in front of Gabby Thomas and Shakya Richardson.

00:39Srivika raced the second fastest time in history.

00:42Only France's Griffith Joyner ran faster in 1988 in a time of 21.34 seconds.

00:48Shortly before her heat in Paris Srivika had to withdraw due to a hamstring injury.

00:53Sadly she had injury problems almost the whole season.

00:56On the other hand Shakya Richardson didn't qualify herself for Paris she only finished

00:59fourth at the US National Championships in a time of 22.16 seconds.

01:09Gabby Thomas is aiming for her first Olympic gold medal.

01:19She dominated over 100m in wind aid in 10.88 seconds and also raced the world leading time

01:27At the US National Championships she improved her season best and won in 21.78 seconds.

01:33This season we already saw an epic battle between Julian Alfred and her at the Diamond

01:38Two weeks ago Thomas beat Julian in a close race in a time of 21.82 seconds.

01:43The athlete from Tungluja finished second in 21.86 seconds.

01:47Gabby raced her personal record last year at the US National Championships in 21.60

01:52I think it's possible that she is able to come close tonight to her personal record.

02:39Faywa Ofile from Nigeria and Brittany Brown from the United States also ran great times

02:45Faywa showed early in the season her stunning shape.
