00:00Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has accepted an apology from META for removing several
00:16of his social media posts on the late Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.
00:21Government spokesman Fahmi Fazil said the Prime Minister hoped that such incidents
00:25would not recur.
00:27Fahmi said there must not be any double standards, which means the Prime Minister should be treated
00:32the same as other state leaders.
00:35Yesterday the government demanded an apology from META in a meeting with the company's
00:39representatives.
00:40The posts removed by META included one where Anwar paid tribute to Haniyeh after he was
00:44killed in Tehran, Iran on July 31st.
00:48The Prime Minister's office contended that META's actions were a form of discrimination
00:52and insulted the struggle of Palestinians for basic human rights.
