Great day for Glen, and these amenities buildings have been in the works for about 10 years now, so it's a long time
00:05
We finally got it under control and got it well with the help of the Australian Standing Stones Committee
00:10
Management Board coming in to give us some ideas on what they wanted that would fit in
00:14
With this area at Centennial Park here in the Standing Stones. Next year's Celtic Festival will come in handy
00:20
It'll be really really handy. Yeah, the older ones will be handy. We always seem to have trouble
00:24
We have to pump them out during the festival, but these are all new
00:27
There's more toilets here, and it's great, and it's great for families to be here as well.
00:31
It's so important that we understand all parts of our heritage, whether that is Aboriginal, whether that is Celtic, whether that's
00:39
European, whether that's African, no matter where it is because it makes up who we are.
00:45
I think that's really important about here is not only reflect on the past, but we understand just how lucky we are
00:51
to be exactly where we are
00:53
It is an incredible stroke of luck to be in Australia, an incredible stroke of luck to have the opportunities that we have
01:01
So I'm hoping that all the facilities that we've got here
01:05
give us both a recollection of the past and understanding the past, a
01:09
respect for those and the sufferings that they've gone through so that we've got the opportunities we have and
01:14
also an understanding of just how lucky we are
01:17
in the path forward. Standing Stones Management Board, I'd like to acknowledge the members here today as well
01:23
have certainly had a great collaboration with Council and we have
01:28
representatives on our board from both Council employees and Council Law staff.
