00:08Yes, he is but it's an interesting story when Kacen was just four years old

00:14He was awarded guardianship to my grandmother. We call her and how old was Nana she was

00:21What did she do when she got guardianship of Kacen the first thing she did was call my dad up, and it's like

00:31So she flew here and dropped him off and we started the adoption process right away

00:35But it took three years to adopt Kacen. Why did it take so long Kacen?

00:42Yes, he was across state lines and then when I called to try to make everything official

00:46They said you shouldn't have taken him out of Mississippi

00:48And I was like I didn't but I got in trouble and it took a long time to get it all worked out

00:52Adopting Kacen was not an easy process

00:55But we're gonna show you the never-before-seen footage of his actual adoption right after we play one of our new

04:50Now, I understand Kacen's been in your home and your family for a few years now, is that right?

04:55He has. It's been about two and a half years, right?

04:59It's been an awesome adventure full of lots of great things and lots of challenges and, you know, that come along with parenthood

05:08And siblings, right?

05:10Now during that time, has Kacen just become one of the crew just like your other children?

05:16Well, they're all very unique and individual even though they do a lot of the same activities

05:21So he's definitely not just like them. None of them are just like any of them

05:26What do you think though? Is he one of the crew?

05:31You understand, Mr. Myler, that if the court completes the adoption today, Kacen will be considered your child for all purposes under the law

05:39Just as if he'd been born to you and your wife

05:42Each kid's different, you know, he might be a teenager someday

05:52I don't think he knew until this morning that he wasn't adopted

05:57I think Kacen's a fantastic kid and I think he's really happy with us

06:08And we've already taken him in as if it was final a long time ago

06:12So he's already been just one of us

06:15It's been a good two and a half years

06:59I always wanted younger sibling because I just remembered how much my older brothers like Brayton and Ashton would teach me

07:05And how much they would do stuff for me

07:07And I thought that'd be fun if I could do that for someone else

07:09Okay, Kacen is actually super funny

07:12But he's also super sassy

07:14None of my brothers were like that

07:16Um, I was kind of like that

07:17My parents always said I was sassy

07:19But Kacen is also sassy and he's really funny

07:22He's got a really good personality

07:24So just come to my room and be like, Payton, do you want to make bracelets?

07:27Do you want to do this? Do you want to do that?

07:28And I also love that he gets excited over the little things

07:31I'll be like, Kacen, do you want to watch a show?

07:33And he'll be so excited

07:35He'll be like, yo, can I pick?

07:36He gets excited over the little things, which I think is really cute

07:39My favorite thing about Payton is she helps me with things the most

07:44And whenever I do something for her, she gives me a treat

07:48Like a snack or something

07:50He can be really short-tempered

07:52Even if I didn't do anything wrong, I'm like, hey

07:55And then he's like

07:59And then he gives me this evil look

08:01I'm like, what did I do?

08:02It's a little funny, but I think he's serious

08:05Kacen is working on getting his black belt

08:07Everyone in our family has a black belt except Kacen

08:10I think one day he's going to get his black belt

08:12Kacen, keep working hard on everything that you've been doing

08:15And I know you'll be able to do it

08:17He treats Pokemon cards with me

08:20He's really fun to play with

08:22Like video games, he's fun to play with

08:24He's nice sometimes too

08:26But only sometimes

08:29It's fun to have a cute little crazy kid in the house

08:32Get him adventurous, getting him learning new sports and stuff

08:35It's just been a blast

08:36I've enjoyed having him

08:37Some challenges for having Kacen living with us

08:40He didn't grow up for the first couple years of his life

08:43With the same habits and attitude

08:45And do the same things we did

08:47Trying to teach him and help him

08:48And just being his older brother

08:51I never knew how easy it was to argue with an elementary kid

08:55But I do think it has helped my teaching skills

08:58Just being able to comprehend what a tiny person is thinking

09:02Even though I used to be a tiny person

09:04And still a tiny person at heart

09:05So Kacen, I've always enjoyed hanging out with you

09:08And spending time together

09:09Don't grow up, stay a kid at heart

09:11Love you buddy

09:12He treats Pokemon cards with me

09:14Better Pokemon cards than Paxton

09:17Kacen plays such an important role in our family

09:19And I couldn't imagine life without Kacen

09:22He's funny, he's crazy, he's hyper

09:24But he's just my brother, you know

09:26That's the only way to put it

09:27He loves to have fun

09:29He's got a strong fire in his eyes

09:31He lets me hold Rocky a lot

09:34And he's nice like Peyton

09:36He lets me like go in his room with him

09:40He wasn't loud when I slept

09:43Like snoring

09:47When Kacen first came to live with us

09:49He was so worried about us not being around him every second

09:52I remember I told him I was going to get the mail

09:54And I came inside and he was crying on the floor

09:56I'm like, what's the matter?

09:58What happened while I was gone?

09:59You left me, he said

10:00And I'm like, no, I told you I was getting the mail

10:03And with time, like he knows we'll always come back

10:05And we're always going to be there

10:07He's very self-sufficient

10:08He can get up, get himself ready

10:10Walk to the bus stop

10:11He's like, he's all grown up now

10:13He was so afraid of heights

10:15So afraid of heights that if Brighton would pick him up

10:17He would freak out

10:19Just because Brighton was holding him in his arms

10:21My grandmother even told us that we shouldn't take him on an airplane

10:24Because he's too scared to fly

10:26So she said one of us should just start staying home

10:28And I'm like, that's not going to happen

10:29Like we got to figure this out

10:30And we took him to Africa about a month later

10:32And he loved it

10:33He loves to fly now

10:34When Kacen went to Africa with us

10:36He was not officially ours yet

10:38So we had to be really kind of sneaky

10:41To get him to Africa

10:42And they almost didn't let him come back with us

10:45They weren't going to let him leave France at the airport

10:47They're like, sorry, these are the wrong papers

10:50He has a different last name than you

10:52He can't go with you

10:53It was my nightmare

10:54It was the thing I worried about most

10:56And it was fine until Paris

10:58My favorite thing about Kacen is

11:00He is like the best apologizer

11:02Is that a weird thing?

11:04He like will own up to anything

11:06And like mad and be like, yes I did that, I'm sorry

11:08He's also really good at saying thank you

11:10And it's a good reminder for the older kids

11:12He's really sweet

11:14He also has the best facial expression

11:17With those huge eyes

11:19He has the funniest faces

11:22He's hilarious

11:23I think the biggest challenge is

11:25Watching Kacen expect to be where all the other kids were at his age

11:29He's wondering why he's not a black belt at age 8

11:31Like the other kids were

11:32The other kids were practically raised in a martial arts studio

11:35We've been working hard to get him caught up on those things

11:38He has fun

11:39And I think that's the most important thing

11:41Is that he's enjoying the process

11:42A lot of you have been asking

11:44When Kacen is going to get his own YouTube channel

11:46I told him when he can do a front flip

11:48On the trampoline, no rush

11:50I think he's ambitious

11:51I think he's fiery and fun and funny

11:54I'm just excited to see where the world will take him

11:56My favorite thing about my family is

11:59That everyone's nice to me

12:02They give me things

12:04They help me with homework sometimes

12:06They play with me too

12:08Do you like having siblings?

12:09Yeah

12:10They help me with things

12:11And they're really nice

12:13They make me not lonely

12:16Having siblings was gonna be scary

12:19I thought they would be like bossy

12:21And be like, go to your room right now

12:24But they're nicer than that

12:26And we film a lot

12:28And that's fun

12:29They help me get goals

12:31And they help me be successful

12:36Are we the police together?

12:42I do find that the petitioners

12:44Are fit and proper persons

12:46To be the legal parents of Kacen

12:48And to have this arrangement be official

12:51And I find it would be in Kacen's best interest

12:54To grant the adoption

12:57And to have him officially become part of this family

13:01So congratulations everyone

13:06The kids may not remember this

13:08But we actually all got to meet Kacen

13:10When he was just a baby

13:11We went to visit my family in Mississippi

13:13When he was just a few months old

13:15Peyton doesn't remember it

13:16But she's standing right next to him

13:17We've never met Kacen's biological father

13:20But his birth mother is actually my sister

13:22Which made Kacen our little nephew

13:24And our kid's cousin

13:26He's like, they're broson

13:28You know, brother and cousin?

13:29He's the broson

13:31Unfortunately, my sister lost custody of Kacen

13:34And he was put into foster care

13:36Luckily, the judge awarded guardianship to my grandmother

13:39And she flew him to live with us

13:41So that he would have a family

13:43A crazy story

13:44When Ali and I were first dating

13:46We made a deal

13:47That we were going to have five kids

13:49But not just five kids

13:50We made a deal

13:51We agreed on it

13:52See, I was snooping around

13:53He was teaching martial arts

13:54And I was looking in his desk

13:55And he had a list

13:56Of what he wanted out of a wife

13:58And one of the things on the list

13:59Was not more than three kids

14:01She said, what if you have twins?

14:02I said, if we have twins on the third time

14:04Then we'll stop at four

14:05Any more than that

14:06Will have to be through adoption

14:08She said

14:09Okay, deal

14:10We'll have five

14:11We stuck on it when we were dating

14:12That is what happened

15:41And so we tried to not have him in videos

15:45He wanted to be Hulk so bad

15:46We had to write the whole script

15:47Just so he could be Hulk

15:49He's a good Hulk

15:54As the fifth kid in our family

15:56It's been amazing

15:57He brings so much joy
