The Journey through Caesar's Forum project offers tourists a virtual night-time walk through the ruins of the first Imperial Forum that has been restored to its former splendour.

00:06through Caesars Forum. Throughout the summer, the City Authority for Cultural Heritage

00:11and Zetema Progetto Cultura are offering Romans and tourists the opportunity to take a night-time

00:18stroll through the ruins of the first Imperial Forum, which go back to their 2000-year-old

00:24splendor thanks to a virtual reconstruction. In the headphones, the unmistakable voice

00:30and oratory of Piero Angela, who with his narration accompanies visitors inside the

00:36majestic Temple of Venus and under the porticoes of the ancient Forum to peek into the daily life

00:42of ancient Romans, from bankers to students. A multimedia show using films, projections,

00:50video mapping and lots of historical information to bring to life a world far away, but in the end

00:57not too different from our own in the small everyday moments. The story of the extraordinary

01:03life of Julius Caesar, idolized by some, hated by others, cannot be missed. Tourists leave the

01:11visit enthusiastic. It was amazing, really beautiful. It just made you feel like you're

01:18part of times gone by. I just love the fact that you could actually imagine as if you were really

01:25there back then. It was, yeah, it was really good. Did you like the visit?
