00:00Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh has passed away.

00:03He died at a time when Israeli attacks were going on in Gaza.

00:08Ismail Haniyeh lived in Qatar and had not been to Gaza for many years.

00:13However, he was the biggest face of Hamas on international stages.

00:18Hamas, the top organization in Palestine, is controlling Gaza.

00:22Many senior leaders of Hamas appear to be covered in the media.

00:27Let's find out about those faces who are running Hamas.

00:31Ismail Haniyeh.

00:32Ismail Haniyeh was the head of Hamas' political bureau

00:36and the prime minister of the 10th government of the Palestinian Authority.

00:40Hamas appointed him the prime minister of the Palestinian Authority on February 16, 2006.

00:45But a year later, the head of the Palestinian National Authority,

00:49Mahmoud Abbas, dismissed him from his post.

00:53On May 6, 2017, Haniyeh was elected the head of Hamas' political bureau.

00:59In 2018, the US Department of State declared Haniyeh a terrorist.

01:04Mohammad Deif.

01:05Mohammad Deif planned to build the tunnels that led to Hamas' invasion of Israel from Gaza.

01:13His real name is Mohammad Deeb al-Masri.

01:15He is the head of Hamas' military organization, the Izz al-Din al-Qasim Brigade.

01:21He was born in Gaza in 1965.

01:24Palestinians know him as Mastermind.

01:26While Israelis call him the Man of Death or the Fighter with Nine Lives.

01:33The word Deif is used for a guest in Arabic.

01:37Mohammad Deif got this name because he doesn't stay in one place for long.

01:43To escape attacks, Israelis sleep in different places every night.

01:48Marwan Issa.

01:49Israel calls Marwan Issa a man of deeds, not words.

01:54He says he is so clever that he can turn plastic into metal.

01:59Marwan Issa is considered Mohammad Deif's right hand.

02:03He is a member of the political and military bureau of the Izz al-Din al-Qasim Brigade,

02:07deputy commander-in-chief, and a member of Hamas' movement.

02:12Israel says that as long as Marwan Issa is alive,

02:15his mental battle with Hamas will continue.

02:18His name is on the list of Israel's most wanted people.

02:23Yahya Sinwar.

02:25Sinwar is the head of Hamas' political bureau in Gazapati.

02:29Born in 1962, Sinwar is the founder of Hamas' security service, Mersd.

02:35In September 2015, America put Yahya Sinwar's name

02:38in the blacklist of its international leaders.

02:42Abdullah Barghouti.

02:44Barghouti was born in Kuwait in 1972.

02:47In 1990, he went to Jordan after the second Khari war.

02:51He has studied electronic engineering.

02:53However, before completing his studies, he went to the Palestinian area.

02:57He has prepared many explosives for Hamas.

03:01Barghouti is considered responsible for the death of dozens of Israelis.

03:05He was given the longest sentence in Israel's history.

03:09He was sentenced to 60 years in prison and 52 years in jail.

03:16Khalid Mashal.

03:17Khalid Mashal is one of the founders of the Hamas movement.

03:21He has been a member of its political bureau since its establishment.

03:24Mashal was also the head of Hamas' political bureau between 1996 and 2017.

03:30In 2004, after the death of Sheikh Ahmad Yaseen,

03:34Mashal was appointed its leader.

03:36Mahmood Zahar.

03:38Zahar is one of the main leaders of Hamas.

03:41He is considered a member of the political leadership of the Hamas movement.

03:45Six months after the establishment of Hamas,

03:48in 1988, Mahmood Zahar was kept in Israeli prison for six months.

03:53In 1992, Israel deposed him along with other leaders.

03:59He stayed there for a year.

04:01In the elections held in 2005, Hamas won.

04:04Zahar worked as a foreign minister in Prime Minister Ismail Hania's government.
