00:00In this video, we will see how you can do the setting up billing export to estimate

00:09your daily or a monthly charge.

00:13So let me just go to Google Cloud Console and I am inside my billing account, my billing

00:20account and below just budgets and alerts, we have one billing export.

00:27So if you want to export all your billing related data at some particular location,

00:32you can do it from here and that is what you can do with the two different ways.

00:37One is a BigQuery export and another one is a file export.

00:42So if you just go to the file export, this particular option Google has already deprecated.

00:48So obviously you just cannot enable it.

00:51So they are suggesting that file export is deprecated, please use this BigQuery export.

00:58So let's just go to BigQuery export and here we can enable and all those billing related

01:06data will be transferred for the further analysis inside the BigQuery dataset.

01:12So let me just edit setting.

01:17And for which particular project you want to do it.

01:19So let's say I just want to do it for Learn GCP AC project and we don't have any dataset

01:27so far created inside the BigQuery.

01:30So what we will do, we will go to BigQuery directly from here and it will redirect us

01:36to the BigQuery page.

01:40So here we have projects like a Learn GCP AC guide.

01:44So what we will do, we will create one new dataset inside that.

01:49So just click on Create Dataset after selecting this particular project.

01:55Let's give the name like Billing Underscore Data and let's just skip all other options

02:04as it is.

02:05We are not going to change anything.

02:07And let's just simply create one empty dataset, which is a part of this particular project.

02:13So you can see Billing Underscore Data kind of dataset got created and let's just go back

02:19to our billing page.

02:24And here we need to go to Billing Export.

02:28So here let's just edit and now after selection of our project for which we want to transfer

02:35all our billing related data, you can see it has automatically detected that there is

02:40one table or I would say dataset got created inside this project, Billing Underscore Data.

02:47Let's just save it.

02:48So for further analysis, all those billing related data will be exported to this particular

02:54dataset.

02:56You can even disable also whenever you want to do it.

02:59Apart from making this daily cost analysis, you want to enable it, there is one more edit

03:05setting like SKU.

03:07So all those SKU pricing related information also, it will dump it.

03:12So let's just do edit and let me select Learn GCP Guide and here also you can export to

03:21this particular dataset.

03:23But for that, you need to enable this API.

03:26So let's just go to DTS API and we will enable it.

03:32So it's a BigQuery Data Transfer API.

03:38So this API is mainly used to transfer data from different SaaS applications to the Google

03:43query on a schedule or a managed basis.

03:47Now once this query got enabled or API got enabled, let's go to our billing part once

03:53again and from here, Billing Export.

04:00Let's just edit our pricing part.

04:04And again, I'm going to select this Learn GCP project for which I want to export all

04:09those data.

04:10Let's just save it after selection of those particular dataset where we want to dump all

04:15your data.

04:18So billing export is, I guess, almost done.

04:22Next thing what we can do, we can go to this BigQuery and we can just analyze what is there

04:27inside.

04:28Now, for time being, currently you won't be able to see any kind of data.

04:33Oops, there is something goes wrong.

04:36So let me just save it once again.

04:39Yeah, they just want to authenticate once again because maybe there is some pricing

04:45related stuff and they want access for this Google pricing BigQuery export permission.

04:52So one extra permission, they just want it.

04:55So just allow it.

04:57One more permission, view and manage your data in a Google BigQuery, allow, allow it.

05:06And it will be able to save or indirectly it will enable those settings inside the billing.

05:16Alright, so both daily cost detail also got enabled and pricing also got enabled.

05:22Now when you go to BigQuery, you can just search it from your search bar and BigQuery.

05:29So if you just go to billing data, you can see there is no data currently available.

05:35But what we will do as we progress along this course, there is a more and more resource

05:41we will create.

05:42More and more resource will manage, more and more resource will provision.

05:47So more and more pricing related information, daily cost related information, everything

05:52will be generated.

05:53And this export part will dump all those data here.

05:58So after provisioning more and more resource, again I will create one more video to show

06:03you what are the data available at this particular location.

06:07So remember, this is Learn GCP ACE Guide Projects and inside that there is a data set

06:13like a billing underscore data.

06:16Alright, that is how you can export your data or billing data inside the Google BigQuery.
