00:03Discount superstore giant Aldi has launched a public consultation after announcing plans to launch a new store in Chesterfield.

00:11The discount retailer has announced plans for a new store on Ringwood Road in Brimmington,

00:15and says the store would provide an attractive and modern shopping experience in a convenient and accessible location.

00:22The store is expected to include over 100 customer parking spaces,

00:26including dedicated disabled and parent and child bays,

00:29and four electric charging points, with infrastructure for further charging points in the future.

00:35Aldi plans to build its new store on the former Robinson's Caravan site.

00:39The business closed earlier this year after trading for more than 60 years.

00:43The firm says the development will create a new food store with a net sales area of around 13,000 square metres.

00:52A Derbyshire stained glass artist has had her work selected for display at a prestigious international festival.

00:58Jane Littlefield, who is based in the Peak District, will be showing her work at the British Glass Biennial,

01:04being hosted at the International Festival of Glass in Stourbridge.

01:08The festival, which runs every two years, is recognised as the premier event to showcase a wide range of glass artworks,

01:15using styles and techniques that are both traditional and experimental.
