Express & Star senior reporter James Vukmirovic went back to his secondary school in Wolverhampton for its 50th anniversary celebration event on Thursday, July 18. Here's what he saw and his thoughts on the event

00:00The building behind me is Colton Hills Community School. 26 years ago I left this place and

00:07I actually probably swore never to come back, I wasn't very happy at the time. However,

00:11I'm here for the 50th anniversary dinner, since the schools of Penn and Graseley merged

00:16together to form the big grey building that's behind me. I'm going to go and see what happens

00:20tonight and let you know how it goes.

00:30There's a few things to get used to while I've been here. For a start, the building

00:50behind me certainly wasn't here when I was here back in the 1990s. It seems like a very

00:57new building, obviously the uniform is different, there's bits and bobs that are very different.

01:02But they've built this wonderful quadrangle here, they've got the new dining room which

01:07is a fairly recent new dining room anyway, and it does actually seem to be a very nice

01:10and very modern school. Obviously there's still some touches, I know this building is

01:14as grey as it was 28 years ago, so at least some things have changed.
