Russian mobile nuclear missile drills are being conducted in the Republic of Mari El, Russia.
Known as the Yars Mobile Missile Systems, the units are practising the dispersing and concealment of the Yars systems. The drills follow similar exercises in early July and come less than two months after Russia conducted tactical nuclear weapons deployment exercises with Belarus.
Russia's Kommersant newspaper reported on Tuesday that the systems are equipped with missiles featuring multiple warheads.
