Matthew Macfadyen talks to THR at the 'Deadpool & Wolverine' red carpet premiere and dishes on doing improv with Ryan Reynolds during their scenes in the movie. Plus, he reveals why he thinks the Deadpool character has avoided "superhero fatigue."

00:00Day one of set did Ryan get all his questions out about succession before you got to work. Yeah

00:07It's very nice. Yeah, it was it was lovely

00:09It was lovely getting to work with Ryan and Hugh to a lot of improv on set

00:14Did you get to improv along with the guys? I think the misconception is that it's very

00:18improvised

00:20Improvisation heavy and it's or the script was so good

00:22And if you do have a wonderful script, which we did then really 99% of the time you stay to the script

00:28but it's that 1% which you sort of have fun with and

00:32Put things in and and because Ryan it's Ryan's baby and he's Deadpool in his bones

00:39He just could throw things in and and encourage me to try stuff and Sean as well

00:45It's only be our director. So it felt very fertile and fun being a part of this franchise now

00:51Why do you think Deadpool specifically has been able to stand that test of time of not having that superhero fatigue?

00:57Well, I think he's Deadpool is just as he subverts the whole thing and he's

01:03deliciously

01:05Kind of wickedly subversive. I mean he's you know, that's that's the joy of it

01:09You kind of he says the thing that everyone might think in there, you know

01:13Their darkest thoughts and just says it now

01:16Obviously, you've been around a lot of f-bombs, but who on set said the most offset

01:21You've been a lot around a lot of f-bombs on camera

01:24Previous job in this one, but who has the dirtiest of mouths out of Ryan and you?

01:30Oh

01:32Ryan oh actually

01:34No, probably Hugh in real life. I'd say will you be in a Deadpool for sure, but

01:39You'll be enjoying some popcorn from Hughes head tonight. I hope so
