Across the Baltic country, around 20 camps will host over 400 Ukrainian children in July and August in an attempt to bring joy to their lives, at least for a brief moment.

00:12Children are not an exception. Many of them lost their fathers. Many of them are considered
00:24to be missing, they are in captivity.
00:28Many of these children staying in Latvia appreciate everything, not least electricity
00:31that doesn't cut out a night's scream of noisy sirens.
00:48All of the youngsters at the camp are children of soldiers. Most of them have lost their
00:52fathers in the last two and a half years of war.
00:58It's probably a little bit quieter here, maybe because of the emotional trauma. But we give them
01:02that joy, we see it. You don't need to be a psychologist to see how these children are
01:06recovering here, because the children are living in death. They may have lost their fathers.
01:10But they are living in death, we give them that joy. It's a fantastic feeling when you
01:15see that they have died in death, the tragedy of their families.
