In a major milestone for the dance form, breaking is about to make its Olympic debut in Paris, where the world's slickest b-boys and b-girls will face off in an epic showdown.

00:00What I love most about breaking is the tough one because it changes throughout the years.

00:07Like I really love the competing aspect and then I really love the training aspect where

00:11you really start to get into the arts.

00:13Breaking is one of the four main elements of hip hop and so to be able to represent

00:16that on the Olympic platform for me I think it can change the world because I truly believe

00:21that hip hop changes lives.

00:51I enjoy breaking a lot because it's a way to express myself, it's a way to express creativity

01:18and there's a lot of freedom inside of it.

01:20If you blend Spiderman, James Brown and Bruce Lee into one that sets a tone, that sets a

01:27vibe how you can see breaking.

01:29So it's an art form, it's a sport, it's a lifestyle, it's a culture, it's many things

01:33at once.

01:39I achieved everything in breaking that you can achieve.

01:46One thing that would be very nice to end my career with is a medal on the ice stage.

02:07Something I'd say to people watching breaking for the first time is to find something that

02:10relates to you, that's kind of the beautiful thing about breaking is it just covers a whole

02:15spectrum of things, like you can be super athletic or you can be super charismatic and

02:19I think that's the thing that will really engage people is if they find a character

02:23that they can really connect with and enjoy.

02:27You don't need anything, you don't need money, you just need a dance floor, that's it.

02:32A dance floor and just yourself, your body and self-expression.

02:36I hope there's kids that see breaking in the Olympics and go, I want to try that.

02:40I think that this is a really dope spark for the community, for the scene to expand

02:45more globally.
