00:00The Royal Enfield Ghirla 450 has just been launched in three variants at a starting price of rupees 2.39 lakhs.

00:06Before I get on with the video, welcome to Drivespark. I am Vedant Johari and let's see what the motorcycle has to offer you guys.

00:18So now starting off with the variants of the Ghirla 450, we get three variants,

00:22Analog, Dash and Flash. Now the starting price is for the analog at rupees 2.39 lakhs.

00:28Then we move on to the Dash variant and that is priced at rupees 2.49 lakhs.

00:34And finally, the top-end variant is known as the Flash and that is priced at rupees 2.54 lakhs and all of these prices are

00:42ex-showroom. So now let's move to the specifications of this motorcycle.

00:45Well, it still gets the Sherpa engine that we see on the Himalayan 450 and

00:50the power figures still remain the same, 40 horsepower and 40 Newton meters of torque.

00:54However, the sprocketing has changed a bit. On the Himalayan, we saw 15 teeth in the front and 47 in the rear.

01:01However, on the Ghirla 450, we get 15 teeth in the front and 45 at the rear.

01:05Now that includes the whole cruising aspect of this motorcycle with that top-end speed that some of us are looking for. Now coming to the

01:12tyres of this motorcycle, well, it gets SEER tyres and these are

01:16specifically designed for the Ghirla 450 and you won't see them on any other motorcycle.

01:21Now, it's a 120 ratio in the front and a

01:25160 at the rear. Now the 160 width that we get on the rear tyre is the widest we get in the Indian segment amongst

01:32mid-range motorcycles. So now these wheels are 17-inch wheels and now coming to the chassis of the motorcycle,

01:39well, the main frame is pretty much the same as what we've seen on the Himalayan.

01:43However, the subframe comes completely different.

01:47Also, the headstock that we get is angled a little differently, but it's more or less the same that we've already seen.

01:53So now coming to the whole design aspect of the Ghirla 450, well, first off, it has the same typical

02:00modern retro design that we see with the circular headlight and the rear aspect of the motorcycle

02:06shares the same as the Himalayan 450. Then apart from that, we get a circular instrument cluster and

02:10coming to the clusters, well, on the base variant, we get an analogue cluster.

02:14However, for the top two variants, we get a digital cluster. So apart from that, we get telescopic forks in the front.

02:20That is non-adjustable and at the rear, we get a completely adjustable monoshock.

02:25Now the suspension setup has been fully designed by Showa and that we have also seen on the shotgun of Royal Enfields.

02:31Now coming to the weight, the Ghirla 450 comes in at 185 kgs and that's a whole 11 kgs lighter than

02:39the Himalayan 450. The Himalayan weighs

02:42196 kgs. So for colours, on the Ghirla 450, we get five colour options. Now the base variant, we get two colour options,

02:50but that is

02:51smoke grey and flare black. Now for the mid variant, we only get a single colour and that is the gold tip.

02:58Now for the top end variant, we get two colour options again. One is brava blue and the other is yellow ribbon.
