Chanel West Coast Says She Received ‘Good Advice’ From Scheana Shay Before New Reality Show

00:00I was very nervous.

00:02The show, I can't get too much into it,

00:05but there was a lot of sad stuff that actually happened

00:09and it's a reality show.

00:10And so my friends actually had a very sad situation happen

00:16that you will see on the show.

00:17So, it's hard to talk about, I'm sorry.

00:22It makes me emotional.

00:23I think all of the emotion

00:24and everything kind of went into that scenario.

00:28And when you see the show, you'll understand

00:31they were going through something so deep

00:33and serious in their life that it kind of took away from,

00:39we didn't want the show to be depressing.

00:41So, I bring the light and the happiness and the funny

00:44even though we are dealing with a very sad situation

00:47in the show.

00:48And so I tell everybody, you're gonna watch the show

00:50and you'll be laughing

00:51and then five minutes later, you'll be crying

00:53and then five minutes later, you'll be laughing again.

00:55So, it's a emotional rollercoaster

00:57but it's that type of show that really makes you feel.

01:00And that was something that I was looking forward

01:02to doing with a reality show

01:04is just really relatable content.

01:07So, I definitely will say there's no reality shows

01:10I'm a fan of that were what I wanted to inspire my show

01:12because I am very like about my, I meditate.

01:16I'm about my peace, my Zen and I'm not big on drama.

01:21So, it was a must for me to have a show

01:24that was not obsessed with drama.

01:26I literally was like, I can't do that for my mental health.

01:29And I am a big fan of like Vanderpump Rules.

01:32I'm actually friends with a bunch of people from the cast.

01:34I'm good friends with Sheena

01:35and her and I were actually talking.

01:37I spent 4th of July with Sheena and Brock.

01:40Dom and I went out to their house in Palm Springs

01:42and I was talking to her and getting a little insight

01:44from her and their show is a lot of drama.

01:47And so she gave me a little bit of insight

01:49and some good advice.

01:51And I just think, my show's a little different.

01:56And that's why I wanted it to be like that.

01:58But I will say I'm a huge fan of Vanderpump Rules,

02:01all of the real housewives.

02:03I always joke one day, maybe I'll be one of the housewives.

02:08But I didn't want my show to be like any of that drama.

02:10I wanted it to be more like just fun,

02:13happy, lighthearted, you know.
