Bekas ahli yang kembali ke pangkuan Umno tidak seharusnya dibenarkan bertanding jawatan parti atau dikembalikan ke jawatan yang disandang sebelum keluar, kata Ahli Majlis Kerja Tertinggi (MKT) Umno Puad Zarkashi.

00:21Last week, UMNO's President, Johari Gani, said the ex-members who want to return to UMNO's office need to be confirmed that they will no longer compete in the party.
00:30He said UMNO is considering the return of the ex-members, but they need to follow the procedures set out, including entering as regular members, although they have held leadership positions before retiring.
00:43However, Puan Zarkashi said the confirmation is only needed for party members who have been selected as candidates for the election.
00:50She said a legal agreement that promises not to jump is only appropriate for those who compete in the election on party tickets.
