00:00Hey everyone, there's Yamaha's 2024 Tenere 700 middleweight adventure touring bike.

00:06This motorcycle entered service in America for the 2020 model year.

00:10It's powered by Yamaha's tried and true 689cc CP2 parallel twin engine.

00:17This engine is water-cooled, has dual overhead camshifts, and an 8-valve cylinder head.

00:23It makes 64 horsepower at the business end of that 18-inch rear wheel.

00:27It puts power back to that rear wheel via 6-speed transmission and a cable-actuated clutch.

00:34This engine drinks from a 4.3-gallon fuel tank and delivers 43 miles per gallon.

00:41All fueled up, this motorcycle weighs in at 452 pounds.

00:46Suspension-wise, we have an inverted fork with 8.3 inches of suspension travel.

00:53We have rebound and compression damping adjustment,

00:55and these really handy bleed screws, which allow you to bleed pressure from the fork,

01:01just like a real dirt bike. That is so awesome. Not a lot of motorcycles have that feature.

01:07Out back, we have a linkage-equipped shock absorber with just almost 8 inches of suspension travel,

01:14and a hydraulic preload adjuster right here, which allows us to adjust ride height

01:19based on rider preference or load.

01:22We also have rebound damping adjustment.

01:25This motorcycle rolls on a 21-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel.

01:30Normally, this bike comes with Pirelli Rally STR tires,

01:35but this particular vehicle is outfitted with Dunlop's Rally Raid tire.

01:40These are a lot more chunky, a lot more off-road orientated, yet they're still DOT legal.

01:47Now, this particular 2024 Tenere 700 is fitted with these optional crash guards,

01:54this taller rally seat, which is really good for all of us tall folks out there,

01:59and a GYTR quick shifter, which allows for full throttle upshifts. That's a $200 accessory.

02:07That brings the MSRP from $10,799 to just over $11,000 with those accessories.

02:14We have triple-disc hydraulic brakes up front with ABS that now you can turn on or off.

02:20You can also manually disable rear ABS, yet retain front ABS if you like.

02:27Of course, we have all-LED lighting.

02:30Love those projector-style head beams and this LED running light and the LED turn signals.

02:36We also have LED turn signals and a taillight out back for 2024.

02:42Very, very nice.

02:43Look at this 5-inch color TFT display. It's super easy to read. Very bright.

02:49We can also pair this vehicle with our iOS or Android-enabled smartphone.

02:55There's not a lot of features you can do with that app besides from check on the maintenance

03:00intervals. Make sure that you're getting the service on this motorcycle every 6,000 miles

03:06for oil changes, 12,000 miles for air filter changes, and 24,000 miles for valve inspection

03:13intervals. Still, it's pretty cool that Yamaha Motor offers that integration.

03:17Look at this thing. We really like this bike because it's so svet and slim in the midsection.

03:24This bike basically feels like a big 450 dirt bike. It's really easy to ride,

03:29really capable on and off-road.
