Hey everyone, there's Yamaha's 2024 Tenere 700 middleweight adventure touring bike.
00:06
This motorcycle entered service in America for the 2020 model year.
00:10
It's powered by Yamaha's tried and true 689cc CP2 parallel twin engine.
00:17
This engine is water-cooled, has dual overhead camshifts, and an 8-valve cylinder head.
00:23
It makes 64 horsepower at the business end of that 18-inch rear wheel.
00:27
It puts power back to that rear wheel via 6-speed transmission and a cable-actuated clutch.
00:34
This engine drinks from a 4.3-gallon fuel tank and delivers 43 miles per gallon.
00:41
All fueled up, this motorcycle weighs in at 452 pounds.
00:46
Suspension-wise, we have an inverted fork with 8.3 inches of suspension travel.
00:53
We have rebound and compression damping adjustment,
00:55
and these really handy bleed screws, which allow you to bleed pressure from the fork,
01:01
just like a real dirt bike. That is so awesome. Not a lot of motorcycles have that feature.
01:07
Out back, we have a linkage-equipped shock absorber with just almost 8 inches of suspension travel,
01:14
and a hydraulic preload adjuster right here, which allows us to adjust ride height
01:19
based on rider preference or load.
01:22
We also have rebound damping adjustment.
01:25
This motorcycle rolls on a 21-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel.
01:30
Normally, this bike comes with Pirelli Rally STR tires,
01:35
but this particular vehicle is outfitted with Dunlop's Rally Raid tire.
01:40
These are a lot more chunky, a lot more off-road orientated, yet they're still DOT legal.
01:47
Now, this particular 2024 Tenere 700 is fitted with these optional crash guards,
01:54
this taller rally seat, which is really good for all of us tall folks out there,
01:59
and a GYTR quick shifter, which allows for full throttle upshifts. That's a $200 accessory.
02:07
That brings the MSRP from $10,799 to just over $11,000 with those accessories.
02:14
We have triple-disc hydraulic brakes up front with ABS that now you can turn on or off.
02:20
You can also manually disable rear ABS, yet retain front ABS if you like.
02:27
Of course, we have all-LED lighting.
02:30
Love those projector-style head beams and this LED running light and the LED turn signals.
02:36
We also have LED turn signals and a taillight out back for 2024.
02:42
Very, very nice.
02:43
Look at this 5-inch color TFT display. It's super easy to read. Very bright.
02:49
We can also pair this vehicle with our iOS or Android-enabled smartphone.
02:55
There's not a lot of features you can do with that app besides from check on the maintenance
03:00
intervals. Make sure that you're getting the service on this motorcycle every 6,000 miles
03:06
for oil changes, 12,000 miles for air filter changes, and 24,000 miles for valve inspection
03:13
intervals. Still, it's pretty cool that Yamaha Motor offers that integration.
03:17
Look at this thing. We really like this bike because it's so svet and slim in the midsection.
03:24
This bike basically feels like a big 450 dirt bike. It's really easy to ride,
03:29
really capable on and off-road.
03:32
Well, everyone, that's a quick rundown of Yamaha's 2024 Tenere 700. $10,800 is what this vehicle
03:40
costs without accessories. With accessories, it's a little bit more than that.
03:45
As always, make sure to leave us a comment. What do you think of this bike?
03:49
And we'll see you in the next episode. Thanks for riding with us.
